We bought a sofa, and the foam collapsed after one year. They sent an "independent" expert who they claim said there was nothing wrong. They promised to send us the report but have not done so. We have chased up many times, including phone and email, but they refuse to reply or send the report.

Having discovered - at a friends' house - the "Stressless" range, I searched the internet for a supplier in the London area. Of those I found, Brentham Furniture seemed to offer the best prices and, though at the opposite end of the capital to where I live, I visited the store in December 2014. I placed my order for a two-seater sofa and was delighted that it was delivered in March without any cost added to the welcome discount price agreed.

So pleased was I that I placed an order for two matching armchairs which were offered at the same discounted price and an agreement was made for them not to be delivered until this year.

The customer care is exemplary and the prices are seriously competitive. As the "Michelin" guide observes about good restaurants, Brentham Furniture is worth a detour".

Excellent retail experience. Keen pricing for Stressless recliner, knowledgeable support and advice when I called Dan for info, not only free delivery but set the chair up for me too, prior to arrival. All communication with Dan, Andy and Emma was very professional, would not hesitate to recommend Brentham or to use them again.

The good news is that I am very happy with my Tedrad sofas, they're beautiful and great quality, plus Brentham are very competitive on price.

HOWEVER, what an ordeal I had getting them! Service pre-sale was great but it all went downhill from there. Websites confusingly said in some places 4-6 weeks for delivery and 6-8 weeks in others. In actual fact it took 15 weeks for the sofas to arrive and I was only given one delivery date option or advised it would be another 4 weeks if I couldn't make that delivery date. Lots of chasing on my part and very little pro-active updates from Brentham's side. It also took 6 weeks just to get a sample for a cushion which again required lots of chasing from me. Finally, website photography is misleading...sofa showed two cushions but only one comes free with the product.

I appreciate that the delay was down to Tedrad rather than Brentham but I think Brentham could have done a better aftersales job. No compensation was offered other than discount vouchers to go towards another purchase but they didn't ever arrive.

Excellent on price and customer service. Delighted with Tetrad armchair delivered ahead of time. Updates on day of delivery were very helpful indeed. Would order from them again without hesitation. Very happy customer.

We ordered the furniture (Tetrad chair, sofa and footstool) last November. Goods delivered in March, which I believe was down to manufacture. Dan & Andy pulled out all the stops in the end, to get it delivered and save my bacon, and my back from the interim garden chairs! Thanks everyone
