Avoid this company like the plague. The owners dont care about customer service as many reviews on the internet will confirm. I do feel sorry for the franchisees, many of whom try their best

My wife and I took out the interior design service as it was sold to us that they would 'help with colours and furnishings' . We really liked their sofas but we're sold this as an add on. It turned out to be absolutely pointless, the worst 250£ I have spent. No advice on colours or furnishings, apparently the 'furnishings didn't arrive in time' when we had our second consultation where they'd show us their 'fresh ideas' . This actually consisted of raft plonking bits of their overpriced furniture in a room, no advice on colour schemes/ fabric ideas. They offered no FRESH IDEAS at all. I have complained twice but they have yet to reply. I rang up and they said they'd respond via email. Try old boot sofas, lovely sofas, cheaper and much better service. Raft brighton should be ashamed of themselves.

Great little shop with everything one could possibly want for a home--teak beds, tables, chairs, and other furniture including made in UK sofas. Lots of accessories for the house too (pictures, mirrors, lamps). Friendly service and also an environment-friendly company (the teak wood is recycled teak).

Also check out Trustpilot regarding this company.

Probably the worst purchasing experience of our lives!!!

We purchased a dinning room table and wall unit from the Raft 'Brighton' Branch which was eventually delivered in Dec 2018. Contacted the branch & customer service a number of times as the table was faulty on 9th Dec 2018. Eventually their 'restoration' team came out in January 2019 - which they tried to bodge, with wood filler!!

After another number of chase calls & emails, Raft agreed to collect the said table and repair it back at their warehouse.
Again we had to chase them to confirm a re-delivery date. I was eventually told that providing the table meets their 'quality control' (QC) the table would be delivered on the Friday.
Friday came, the delivery drivers turned up promptly with the table.
And yes, you guessed it, the glass table top was chipped and the teak root was not even finished off, plus being covered in saw dust??!! I don't think Raft have a QC procedure??
Consequently I was immediately back in contact with the Brighton Branch and requested a full refund and collection of the furniture!
Apparently Raft have to follow 'due process' and our case was referred to the MD at Raft HQ on 10th April 2019!!

To date, now mid 'May 2019' no one from Raft HQ has ever contacted us to resolve this issue.

Raft were quick enough to take our money, but when you want a refund or an issued sorted, their MD and customer service treat you with complete contempt!!!

In conclusion, based on our experience - I would avoid Raft at all costs!!!!

Bought sofa from Brighton store admittedly 6 years ago. From beginning sofa was broken , fixed with holes in frame , were an attempt to fix the uneven frame and positioning of sofa bed. We have been unhappy with this since the day it was purchased. The level of customer service appalling at Brighton , now located in steyning.
I would avoid at all cost as it’s probably the worst and most expensive sofa we have ever bought.
This is really not fit for purpose.

Outstanding furniture and customer service

I have nothing but praise for Raft (Steyning). They clearly care deeply about the furniture they sell and also for their customers. I bought a couple of sofas from them recently and when they arrived there was a mark from the wrapping on one of the arms. Within an hour, the owner had turned up at my flat to assess the damage and resolve the problem. It's the kind of 'old-fashioned' customer service which you hardly ever get these days.
