A good all round garden centre with wide walkways between displayed goods and a mountain warehouse located to the rear. At the centre of the complex is a food area serving hot and cold food.

Was our first time here ,staff were very helpful, polite, and we got what I wanted.

But my reason for only 3stars is we pop into restaurant, which was clean and tidy, spacious.
But my chips were cold so I did not enjoy them my other part of meal was great. This Was my only criticism on my first visit .
I will try again soon .

**cafe review** Massively over priced for the quality and portion size of a full breakfast. Had my breakfast served up on a plate and then waited 15 minutes to pay. Not overly busy compared to the amount of staff serving. Definitely won't be spending my money in their cafe again

Dobbies cafe was a bad experience. After negotiating the system we eventually decided on the food. My husband's ham sandwich was tasteless and my avocado and chick pea ( fritters?) ciabatta was inedible. I couldn't cut into them! And the avocado was sort of a smeared on mash. I left 3/4 of it. The best part was the ginger beer drink.
A waste of food and our money. Definitely won't go there again.

There is usually very good coffee served in the cafe on site. It is also a nice clean space. The plant selection can at times be a little lacking but what is there is usually really good quality and well looked after.

So Disappointing! Our first and last visit. The cafe was understaffed for a quiet Monday lunch time. We ordered our food and went to the short queue for drinks and to pay. The people behind us had hot food on plates, that will be cold by the time they’ve paid! Took almost 10 mins to serve drinks to to the short queue, get our tea and coffee and pay. Staff disorganised, you don’t stop taking payment from someone to serve more milk to someone else then come back and wonder where you are. The 2 toasties then arrived a good 15 minutes later. They were bland (cranberry, bacon and Brie and a croque monsieur) the salad and coleslaw was the best bit, but they’ should have been tasty. Hardly any customers in there, didn’t see many go collect ordered food ahead of us so what takes the time?

Then went round the garden centre. Lots of outlets, lots of bought in goods you can get in most high street shops. I was looking for gardening things, it being a garden centre. Yes I know it’s January, it’s cold in the garden, but I couldn’t find saucers for bog standard terracotta pots - lots of plastic if you want, I don’t. Nor did I find the few other things on my list. No one to ask, we did look. Perhaps they were at lunch and still waiting for their food?! I can’t remember the last time I’ve left a garden centre empty handed.

No I don’t want to contact customer services, you can read the reviews but reading those before me (should have done that before I went) you don’t seem to be doing anything to improve so what’s the point of telling Customer Services.
