Hitchin Garden Centre

Amazing Christmas range! Could spend hours in there easily. Centre is huge , the cafe could be bigger as at times there’s no tables available but all together it’s a very nice place to visit!

Early October, popped in, wearing shorts in beautiful sunshine, to get ideas for next years garden furniture.
Confronted by staff in Xmas hats. Inside, there wasn’t just a small Xmas display, but a full on grotto. To make the experience worse, Xmas songs were playing!

The restaurant was busy and had a great selection of cakes.
Some lovely gifts in the gift and food departments, as well as a lovely Christmas shop.
A couples of stacks of shopping baskets left around the shop would be handy and would encourage customers to buy more. I hadn’t intended making any purchases but couldn’t resist, had there been some shopping baskets in the area I would have bought more, I couldn’t balance anything else in my arms!

Nice garden centre. A very large and magical Christmas department has just opened.
Did find a lot of things unpriced but the staff are all more than happy to help and get you a price. Lots of choice across the shop. Prices are quite reasonable too.

Part of a chain and this one had just got its Christmas display finished. A good selection of non plant items for sale although restricted by the large Christmas stock holding/area. Plants looked in good condition and a good selection. Only slight negative is catering. The restaurant area needs updating and possibly extending with more staff, at present it has been extended in such a way as the two parts are not really connected and although food is good takes time to come out at busy times (we waited over 45mins for lunch - good job we were not on our lunchbreak from work!)

Well located between Hitchin and Letchworth on a big site with ample car parking, a cafe, toilets and outside plant area. Also sells everything else to do with gardens including outside living like BBQs etc. Not the cheapest but good quality products and a very wide range including gifts. Ok place to visit

Gorgeous Christmas display, and a lovely walk through it for all ages. So lovely! Great garden centre with a really lovey cafe.
