Wow. What an inspirational place. Such a variety of interesting plants in a fantastic setting. Not big but there is a lot crammed in there. Not for the traditional rose lover, but great if you want some quirkyness in your garden life.

The owners, Graham and Lucy Gough, are steeped in the tradition of great East Sussex/Kentish plants people. Keen on plant and flower shape, form and longevity, they select and breed their own plants (including agapanthus) and seek out those that they consider best to sell. Among their specialities are grasses, particularly Molinia. As well as seeing these for sale in the nursery area, it's well worth paying £5 to go into the garden to get a proper idea of how the plants really grow. Nothing is labelled in the beautiful, flowing, colourful garden, but the point out what you like to the owners and they'll be happy to oblige with names and availability. And every plant you do by comes with freely given and often entertaining advice. Prices are more reasonable than garden centres so happiness is...

Small independent plant nursery and gardens with a big reputation. Great for more unusual perennials and grasses you might not find elsewhere. Owners Graham and Lucy always welcoming and willing to offer friendly advice. All the plants I've bough are great quality and live up to the name!

A wonderful variety of healthy, home-grown plants, at reasonable prices and a, beautiful, compact garden demonstrating how good the plants look once fully grown.
