Waitress by herself is probably not a good idea. Whilst the food was very good and tasty; it took for ever to prepare. My tea and my wifes coffee went cold by the time we got our meal. I hate bad reviews and rarely write them but this is just a bloody good cafe with a lack of staff. We only stopped for coffee/tea so cannot write about the garden centre. I am sure it was good by the previous comments on here.

Really lovely place. I'm a bit sick of those big, commercialised garden centres, this place is great. A really varied range of plants, some hidden away. Helpful staff. Will be going back for some other great finds.

Friendly staff but hardly anything is priced.
So if your going with a certain amount how do you know what you can afford to get.
Some nice plants but with no prices on probably 80% of stock it was frustrating and went to a different garden center.

Ok it closes at 4pm and I rolled up at 3.55pm to find the guy about to close the gate. He told me they closed at four and I replied don’t worry I know exactly what I want, a hanging basket, and it was right next to the gate. I explained I had travelled some distance and it would take me two minutes to lift it off it’s hook and pay for it with cash but he wasn’t having it. He had a very poor attitude telling me he didn’t get paid beyond 4pm so wasn’t going to let me do my 2 minute shop. We turned around and left and it still wasn’t 4pm.
Aside from this I can’t understand a garden centre closing so early at the height of the summer season, especially when they are on a good commuter route.
I’m not impressed because in the past have enjoyed shopping here for my plants.

A very good stock of plants in all sizes and colours.
It caters for just about any tastes and a good little cafe too.
Ample parking to pull off the road.
