What a fantastic showroom. We could not believe the amount of stock there was on show. The best was that we bought our Honda lawnmower and was able to take it there and then!! The staff were great and nothing was to much trouble. This is the second time we have gone to L & M Young and it won't be the last. Thank you again. And the prices, brilliant!! 5*****

What type of garden machinery shop doesn't stock strimmer fuel line?
Seems they are happy to fix things for £50 + but when it comes to minor sales they are not interested. Obviously had some there as they repair and service day in day out, only wanted about 10", but seems it was to much of an issue for them.
Don't waste your time, go elsewhere..

Avoid like the plague.. expensive, rude and unhelpful.. After a long wait to get served.. In the middle of service for Oil, Fuel, Chainsaw replacement and Ride-on Mower (which he never found out I wanted to purchase the mower).. half way through, walks away and starts chatting on the 'phone.. How rude and disrespectful.. didn't even say 'excuse me' or something.. I left.. so he lost nearly£2k of sales.. (STIGA TORNADO 398M LAWN TRACTOR)..
Not the first time either the owner or the staff have been well below even the most basic level of civility you would expect in a retail outlet.. and no I'm not over re-acting.. I used to be a Retail Manager.. If they had been my staff they would never have completed a probationary period..
VERY expensive because he believes he has a captive local audience..
Shop around for a more pleasant and competitive experience..

Visited to purchase a Stilhl petrol blower. Well stocked shop and extremely friendly helpful staff .Look forward to my next visit A star for customer service.

Always like to deal with L & M Young. They are friendly, knowledgeable, honest and carry a great range of stock. Nice to be able to buy equipment locally as I feel it gives more piece of mind should there be any issues. 100% recommend should you need any equipment for gardening and landscaping.

Usually buy on-line but popped into Youngs before ordering. Excellent advice and very helpful, made it worthwhile buying local. Price was lower than most on-line stores and it was good to talk to someone who actually knew what they were talking about. Rough cut mower was delivered when they said it would be and delivery include full instructions/demonstration on how to operate the mower. Any queries about costs/delivery etc were answered quickly and professionally. Would highly recommend a visit to Youngs if you need advice on the best machine for the job
