Customer toilets, car wash, air, Subway roll shop, and a well stocked convenience store, this energy station is a little oasis in Cheriton High Street. Very pleased to see the arrival of a rapid charger for electric vehicles at this location, which is now fully functional, this is great forward thinking by Shell. The charger has AC, CCS and Chademo plugs. However, in order to get a charge, a Geniepoint card or app is required. This means if you've not got a RFID card (why should you have?), then you must have a smart phone with the app and a data plan. This will exclude many people who either cannot use or are not willing to use an Android or apple device and have a pre-paid subscription to Geniepoint. Therefore everyone who is not tech savvy is excluded from using the charging facilities. Reversing out of the bay is a bit dodgy, as you must reverse out just by the main exit, and the view is hampered additionally by a large Costa coffee cup! It would certainly aid visibility leaving the bay if this was moved elsewhere please.

They are always really busy here but the prices aren't always very good - if you go a bit further along to Tesco you can get your fuel for a lot less money probably a good 3/4p cheaper per litre. Plus the pumps are a lot more reliable up at Tesco as well

my car is mapped on V-power.. now they have had no V-power for weeks,and when they do they only have it at 1 pump which leads to massive ques and idiots filling their Micra's with V-power... now I have to use the garage on the Motorway which is way more expensive ! Im now going to get my car mapped on BP ultimate. V-power is the best but only if you can get it local to you. and dont try and drive a lowered car into this garage as the ramps are too steep!

Unfortunately received a cold experience, the new manager has a very stuck up demeanour.
Came across very rude when dealing with and extremely quick to brush you off. The old staff are of a friendlier nature however I heard they too are leaving just as new management comes in. A real shame, looks like it’s going downhill fast

Paid for premium car wash £7.99
Car was still dirty and not dried.
Machine ripped arial off even though it was flat to roof.
Be aware car wash is used at owners risk.

Two weeks and still the EV charger is not working, when i asked the staff when it would be fixed i was told in a very short manner they dont know! same shoddy service from the over priced shell garage.. update 18.03.22 and still the EV charge point is out of order,, the garage people here really dont like and are not interested in EV customer's...

I am sure that I can not be the only person to have been caught out or ripped off by this garage. There are only two prices on show £1.87 & £1.97, one for petrol and one for diesel, so I proceed two a pump choose petrol and start to fill my car tank up. I had two let go of it at as the price wheel went past £80 and my tank can only hold £74 so I thought there might be a leak. But oh no, it just happens that the pump I am at is £2.099.for some high special year petrol, that I don't want. This was not signed prominently enough by Shell

Good place for petrol and diesel, good well stocked shop and a Subway on site too
