Sainsbury's Petrol Station

I do like this petrol station. Obviously you get nectar points on your petrol, but it’s really handy for top up shops after the main store has closed.

There is a cash point, a car wash and the shop is well stocked with essentials and other things like beer, wine chocolates and flowers. Also sell essential items for the car too, screen wash, antifreeze, emergency canister for reinflatung tyres etc etc. Staff are always nice and friendly.

Sells LPG 17/02/2022 £0.659 pence a litre super cheap.

The LPG button is broken on pump 3 though it works but could do with a replacement.

Staff are all over not using phones in the fuel court which was annoying. But rules will be rules.

Need LPG? Don't waist your time here, as stuff will find an idiotic reason not to allow you to refill your car. Avoid if you value your time.

Very aggressive attitude to customers filling Dacia cars with LPG - or trying to, as Sainsburys staff think they know better than a car manufacurer whats safe. Needless to say, this stupidity looks now to be costing them sales, as in the midst of the most costly fuel prices, its now reported that Sainsburys are removing the pumps from this station at the end of this month. Given their Colney station has been out of order since last year with no clear indication on if they are fixing it or not, its quite clear Sainsburys really don't care about anyone driving on LPG anymore. Given the close proximity to the m25 of both of these stations you'd think it would be in their interest to keep them operating, but apparantly not. No fuel here for me means the other sales you would have got at the same time go as well.

Will reopen on 12 August 2022 after new pumps fitted.

Big station, usually we’ll priced. sells lpg as well as diesel and unleaded. Medium sized shop for a petrol station but the supermarket is close anyway. Good car washes when working

Nothing against the station itself but I've stopped going there simply because they don't show their prices. Redone a few months ago now and still not fixed the sign to show current petrol prices which is unacceptable. If your price sign isn't working and hasn't been fixed in months it just looks like you're trying to hide your prices. Not even a temporary board with prices on it....
