Sainsbury's Petrol Station

Love this petrol station, we tend to go nowhere else, as it has pay at pump, which makes it a lot easier being disabled as i am, and therefore don't need to make the trek into the store to pay.

Prices are lower than in the town by 2-4p a litre and the quality of the fuel seems fine, we've not noticed a drop in MPG as you can get from some supermarket fuels.

The little shop does stock a reasonable selection of foods as you would expect and staff are always friendly and helpful

Consistently the the best petrol prices in the area... Probably for 50mile radius. I have an app that gives me costs and this last 7months I've saved a lot of money using sainsburys in Taunton.

It's also great to be able to put air in your tyres for free. The site has a small store for essentials, snacks and drinks etc.

Staff are always helpful and pleasant.

I regularly drive between family in Devon and work in London and this is the only place I consider stopping for fuel - I don't know anywhere in the country that is cheaper, nevermind the surrounding area! Avoid motorway service stations wherever possible until they learn to stop charging hugely excessive prices.

DO NOT travel here to fill a Safefill Cylinder. The forecourt attendants (amazingly) do not know what they are and despite being shown the safety certificate. They don't understand modern things so they seem to find it easier to just say no.
I asked a very obviously baffled attendant Chris Thomas to please check with his manager, as many Sainburys garages do allow filling, but he stuck with his no (and I highly doubt he even bothered to ask).
Amazing in this day and age he didn't even know what a Safefill was, so he just said no.
As I left there was a motorhome filling TWO Safefill cylinders without asking, so I suspect its better to NOT do the right thing. Just fill them without asking like that person did!
We now have no gas as we did as Safefill recommend, which is tell them before filling....

Great to see such a good price for lpg autogas and very accessible from the M5.
I make this a regular port of call for fuel when travelling anywhere!
It would be a tragedy for the site to stop offering lpg, as its the greenest option available.

Have used this petrol station for as long as can remember for both personal and business fuelling and always a good place to visit. The pumps are well spaced apart, free air & water facilities, adjacent manned car wash and a decent forecourt shop selling hot & cold drinks, confectionary, magazines etc. The staff are long established and great to deal with, no issues whatsoever when visiting here. The fuel prices consistently competitive and excellent location by M5 junction 25. Highly recommended to call here for your fuel requirements.

A large site with 2 LPG pumps on the far left. Not many sites left selling gas so happy to find this site. Very helpful attendant as I was unable to dispense the LPG without their assistance.

Couple of weeks ago had cause to drive here to purchase refillable lpg for my mh. Cannot thank enough the gentleman who served me. I struggle at the best of times filling the van because of arthritus in my hands, but this time I seemed exceptionally useless.

The man was so patient. This is not just a one off occurrence. He is ALWAYS helpful.... and, no, not all garages are so kind.
