Family owned and it shows through service and quality of produce brought in. Fruit and vegetables always fresh. Then their selection of needful groceries always good and useful choices. Nothing a trouble to service.

Have only used this garage a handful of times since the Thompson family sold it due to rubbish amenities and rude staff. Went to fill up this morning and it was extremely busy so a kind lady who was just finishing moved her car away from the pump so I could use it. Filled up with £70 of diesel but when I went to pay the lady behind the counter just stared at me. I told her the pump number and she replied “I know which car you are but the till hasn’t registered the sale - I wish that lady before you hadn’t moved, I hate it when people do that”! At that point I could have said “Thank you very much for my full tank” and driven away without paying but no, I went and got the exact figure so she could put it through the till manually. After I had paid and she had thrust the receipt at me without so much as a thank you she then proceeded to slag me off to the next customer (a local gardener) who looked outside the door and stared at me as I drove away - uncomfortable and unnecessary!! The only thing at fault was their archaic till system and her attitude - never using them again

Use to be a friendly service and great shop until the blonde started working there. Expect scolding dirty looks and nasty remarks under baited breath.. Ffs never ask her to turn the pump on even on a rainy day when she is clearly in the window laughing at you.. Absolutely pathetic

Fuel prices are average for the area. A well stocked shop with most of the usual convenience foods, plenty of soft drinks and water available.

Loads of diesel - might seem an odd comment, but at the time diesel was a rare commodity in England! No panic buying here and a reasonable price.
