I avoid this petrol station usually as it’s been almost 20p litre more than other places on occasion and has a reputation locally for rude staff and high prices.

Over the years I’ve noticed that the pumps have a habit of clicking over a few pence after you’ve replaced the handle on the pump. Last time it happen I told the till assistant who admitted that lots of people say the same thing but I was still expected to pay the 2p of fuel I hadn’t actually had. Feel like taking a photo of the pump amount as proof just in case. Doesn’t happen to me at other stations and I put £150 a week in from a variety of petrol stations.

Not a lot of money but very irritating that it’s been mentioned by many over years and still nothing done about it. I’m sure they’ve got a certificate which would make me wrong.

Customer service is always good ,and plenty of items in shop ,fuel prices tend be higher than average ,i was using the self service jetwash for my work van which did the job well.

Served by a very friendly and polite young man which showed me a selection of items to buy, as it was to late to enter store , great customer service

Came in this afternoon to use the car wash, spoke to a lovely lady at the counter, who told me how to pay at the carwash itself. Went to use it but it had tripped off because of the cold weather, went back in and told the lady I had spoken to earlier, she then asked if someone could show me how to use it, only for a woman behind the counter to butt in and say, "I don't see why we should go on our arses, if they choose to wash their car in this weather" I hadn't asked anyone to show me, the first lady is a credit to your garage, absolutely lovely, the second one who butted in, needs a good night's sleep and some customer training, 5 stars are for the lovely lady, none for Mrs Grump.

Always friendly welcome, very clean, bad mannered customers should appreciate the staff are human and thus should be spoken too civilised !!!!!, good manners and politeness cost nothing !, if you haven't got any then learn some !!!!!....

Very rude woman refused to sell me 2 cans of G&T because my 10 year old daughter was carrying them - along with other stuff, but had no problem selling me a 4 pack of larger and then after I had paid told me if my daughter touched the cans them she would confiscate them from me regardless that I had paid for them! She told me several times very abruptly she had the rights to do this!

Ignoring the expensive fuel....
I was served by a really nice lady, very friendly and obviously happy to serve.
There is a Budgen store here, which was quite well stocked and had quite a good variety of goods on offer.
