We had a buy a gift voucher which I emailed to book a few weeks ago, so fast at replying to emails and reserving the booking. We were welcomed as soon as we walked into the building and asked where we would like to sit inside or out, absolutely beautiful gardens and a stunning pub inside. They explained the afternoon tea to us asked if we would like any drinks whilst we waited, explained the meal would be 10/15 minutes wait as it was all done fresh and it wasn’t a disappointment. Lovely fresh sandwiches all presented amazingly, with amazing home made puddings all sourced fresh from the local village. Positive and friendly pub from the moment we walked in, will most definitely be booking here again. Thank you Phillip and your members of staff for a lovely afternoon, nothing was too much to ask for and allowed to take the Prosecco home as we had a bit of a drive

Absolutely amazing food and staff. Went here for an anniversary meal and the staff went above and beyond. I think the owner dealt with us most of the time and he just made us feel so welcome and gave recommendations on food and drink pairings.

Lovely pub with a great outdoor space, friendly staff, great menu (with a good variety of gluten free options). We are not from Grantham but stopped for lunch here in August 2022 and it was delicious.

Good range of freshly cooked food, good meat options, burgers, steaks and chilli dishes.
Reasonably priced options, with more expensive options if you want to choose.
Interesting decor with helpful staff.
Worked well with a large group of 8, meals timed and coordinated very well.

A nice pub/restaurant went for a Sunday Lunch, on the whole the food is good, we were just a bit disappointed with the quality of beef on our plates, it was definitely not roast beef I’d say more of a braised beef. There was way too much gravy on the plate, would have been nice to have to gravy served separately as it’s personal choice as to how little/much gravy one wants. Desserts were lovely!
We will return to try other things in the menu. As some of the food we saw looked very good.

Lovely lunch at The Green Man. We are not frequent diners, but go here for special occasions as it is equidistant from our two locations. On a Sunday so their fabulous Sunday roasts were available. Superb quality beef or pork. The beef option was a tender thick slab of meat. Roast & creamy mashed potatoes, red cabbage, cauliflower, peas & delicious gravy. Good service provided by the waiting staff. A really good venue for a very good quality lunch.

In the latter part of lockdown, my daughter had a takeout delivered for all of us and it was lovely.
So she booked us a table to go out, as a family, for a meal.
As it's dog friendly our grandfluffy came with 😁😁
Food was excellent. I believe hubster and I had braised sliced leg of lamb with gorgeous veggies and daughter, who'd been before with friends from the village, had sausage and mash again, in a massive Yorkshire pud. Sausages were fantastic the pud top too crispy to eat.
The atmosphere, cosy.
They had the fire going in the small room where we were.
The only downside, was the fire.
It had just got to a manageable heat as we ate, and instead of putting a semi damp log on and letting it gently burn.
They rammed it full like there was a raging blizzard outside 😮😮😂😂
The flames and heat roared.
My poor hubster, who was sat directly opposite it had sweat running from his brow.
We gave a massive sigh every time someone opened the outside door 😂😂😂😂
But for our first, family, meal out in nearly two years it was still lovely.
Madam Nala thought it was wonderful to go out and meet other like minded and friendly dogs, who just wanted to chill and see who would drop a nibble or three their way lol.

Recommend, with sweat and all 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Very cute and fun pub - food was good, with enough gluten-free options to keep me happy. There wasn't a drinks menu and our server didn't seem 100 percent sure what was on offer, but we managed just fine. All the food came promptly, HUGE PORTIONS, delicious and able to accommodate special requests.
