Just had the most amazing mixed roast here.
A delight to be served by such efficient, professional and enthusiastic staff.
Highly recommend.

Food was amazing, drinks a little top expensive £8 for a pino! Well recommend the trio of Lamb, waitresses we very accommodating, they also have pods that you can book, they looks great so may be next time. We'll recommend and we will definitely go back.

Lovely meal in one of the pods for hubby's birthday. Attentive staff, good food choices , tho a few a bit pricey. Great venue for dinner or to hold an event. Recommended.

We had the dome with our two children. I highly recommend, staff are lovely the food was amazing and the decor was beautiful. The dome was all lit up at night, we had a heater, our own music and the sunset right behind us. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for a lovely night.

Lovingly gifted an afternoon tea for our 25th Wedding Anniversary.
Lovely surroundings, pretty pub.
Catered for all we needed but no handrails on steps inside, so we struggled slightly.
Food was very tasty & plentiful, but floor needed a good sweep & clean as it was filthy, there was a random napkin on the floor & chairs are heavily stained.
Nevertheless we had a nice time.

Our daughter's 25th birthday was saved at the last minute by The Merry Fiddlers who managed to fit a table of ten in during the Christmas period after our original booking cancelled on us the day before. From the moment we walked in everything was perfect from the setting, to the service to the food. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, particularly Morgan and Gemma who made sure everything went perfectly. The food is stunning and had a great mix of dishes to keep anyone happy and the taste and presentation were equal to any fine dining restaurant in London. It was our first time here and we will definitely return as the whole evening was amazing and finished off beautifully by the picturesque setting in the deep snow that just gave the whole thing a very movie like feel.

Nice food: Very festive at Christmas time. Staff were friendly and helpful. Server was happy to take group photos and even cleared off our table first to make sure it was a good picture.

It was first time to this quaint little essex pub. The building Looks nice from the outside.

Tarmac outside the main entrance is breaking up.(tripping hazard)
Inside the pub has a nice colour scheme.
Tho paintwork lets it down lacks detail ie Not using masking tape for straight lines between colour changes on walls .!!. Holes in the celling where spot lights use to be and not replaced....... .

Table service wasn't good (lets the pub down) slow bring drinks from bar to table, Plates wasn't taken until the next setting turned up !!. Very unprofessional..

Only good point was the very nice food and dish size was very good.

Please add the desserts to bottom of the menu.

Staff are very friendly and helpful.
