Very nice food and drink. Sort of informal restaurant rather than a pub. Bar snacks were great, though a little pricey. 5 drinks (2 beers, 2 wines and a soft drink) with 4 bar snacks £93 and no air-con.

Been here for the second time after 4 years. The service quality is much lower. We had to order many things twice and believe me we waited long enough in between. They forgot my wife's side order and serving spoon with oysters (small simple things). Cod was very overcooked. Only baby oysters were great. If you are here order baby octopus and probably have a burger. They looked good but we did not have it.

Stayed in rooms above the pub, which is very well located.
Rooms were nice enough. The bed was very large and comfortable and the shower was excellent.
My room had no bedside table lamps though, so it was the big light on or nothing.
Also, no double glazing, so quite noisy outside.
Didn't eat there, but had a drink in the bar, the food being delivered to the tables looked fantastic.

Had Sunday roast here. The food was good but the service and atmosphere was not. When we arrived, we were sat between two large and very loud parties when there were quieter parts of the restaurant with free tables. Annoying but can’t be helped. It took half an hour before anyone came to take our order and they only came because we got their attention. The irony is we’d tried to get a later table and they said no but didn’t serve us till that time anyway! It was then an hour before we got our food. The roast was very tasty, no complaints there. Again service was very slow getting the desserts. They then didn’t come and clear our dessert plates for at least half an hour after it was very clear we were finished and once again, we had to get their attention. To top it off there was a 12.5% service charge added which amounted to £20. I know you can ask for it to be taken off but the waiters had been nice, just so slow and being English, I couldn’t bear to ask them to remove it. I know Sundays are busy but there were plenty of empty tables where we were so not sure why it was quite so bad. Would not go back. Very expensive and was not a nice experience. We were having to shout across the table to each other to be heard.

Very friendly staff and great service. We booked a table for 10:45AM (as it was the only table left), but we actually wanted to come for Sunday roast. The staff were really accommodating and allowed us to order some coffees and light snacks before bringing us the lunch menu. The lady serving us was super amazing. She had a smile on the entire time and was very good at coming to check up on us to make sure we had everything we needed. She also came back right at noon to take our orders for Sunday roast!

The food itself was delicious. My husband got the Sunday roast, and I got the fish and chips. Everything was well cooked and tasted good.

I would definitely recommend this place!

Called up as a last minute request for a dog friendly place to get a warm dinner and Claudio was brilliant at reserving us a spot. When we arrived the space was ready and service to order was very quick we had a great spot where my dog could be comfortable and relax too. Food was delicious definitely recommend the steak pie and mash with Guinness gravy. Overall the experience was 10/10 and if you’re ever in central with a dog and need a warm cosy and tasty place to relax this is the perfect pub for it! They also do great berry cider!

Love this place! There was a mix up with our booking but the lovely Megan and the Manager on duty sorted everything out even though it was one of the busiest weekends in London. The rooms and bar are amazing and we will definitely go back. Great location

A truly lovely Sunday evening spent at the grazing goat. Faith was a superb host and catered to our every need. The food and drinks came promptly and were well prepared and the atmosphere was both homely and lively. Not the first visit and most certainly shan’t be the last. Great venue, and thanks again Faith for making the evening so enjoyable.
Steven.
