What a fantastic find, thanks to Google maps. You will not be disappointed by coming to this place for food.

Great Sunday dinner. Awesome home cooked taste. Good parking and lovely decor inside. Only got 4 stars as there could have been more food on the plate and was a little pricey for what you get. Despite this, a great place!

I really liked the decor of the pub, especially all the bird drawings, would love them in my house.^^ The staff were very nice and friendly. The only let down for me was unfortunately the food. We had fish and chips and the chips were just really not good and tasted undercooked. There was a tiny amount of peas (might as well not have bothered). The fish and the tartar sauce was nice though, but as a whole it was rather disappointing for the price. Would come here for a drink though as it's a nice atmosphere.

2 hour wait for a meal in an empty pub for a pre booked birthday meal. Dinner arrives and my medium rare comes out well done!

Taken in to the reataurant side for the meal. Only people there. No one asked us at any stage did we want a drink. We had to go up and down to the bar for drinks. Not a single glass collected whole time we were waiting. Not a single apology about the delay. Meal arrives and my steak is conpletely wrong and fairly disgusting.

However.....in order to keep this a balanced review and tell readers about the positive.....that on complaining they did reduce bill by 50% so will give them credit there. But to summarise....its midnight and since 1pm today all I have had to eat is a handful of cooked chips eaten in anger.

Never ever again.

Glorious olde worlde pub hotel with friendly staff, beautiful rooms and delicious food.
Prices were average - 3 courses for 6 adults and 2 chuioden £200 with drinks on top.
Great location with plenty to see and do on the doorstep.

Proper chips!! We're currently staying here for a couple of nights and I can't fault it. All the staff are very polite and friendly, even to the point of having a young lady call "Good Morning" to me as she arrived in the carpark for her shift this morning. I don't remember ever being that smiley when arriving for work. The room is really nice with a lovely view... and the shower... let's just say that's nice too 😏 but the best thing about our visit... proper chips!! Not some horrible, cheap frozen things off the back of a catering lorry that briefly saw a deep fryer... I mean proper triple cooked, crispy chips with actual flavour! If more pubs made chips like this I would go out for dinner more often! Don't even get me started on the sauce on top of my lovely rib eye steak :) if we're ever in need of a hotel in the Somerset area again, I know where we'll be staying!
PS. Message to the management, your staff are a credit to you!

Old rustic feeling pub finished off very well, it looks fantastic. Staff are polite and very helpful with any issue from one with your meal to phoning up to book a table. Facilities are kept extremely clean and they offer most types of seating whether that be the chair itself or where you are sitting
