Wow. Wow. Excellent!!!! Do I need to say anymore. The service was excellent. Staff were polite and helpful. The pub was full but still the food arrived within 10minutes of ordering. Excellent food and taste was excellent. Credit to the owners for an excellent team youngsters who were running their socks off to serve all the customers and being polite about it. You could they took pride in their work.

Our food was slightly delayed due to a mix up. However staff sorted it quickly and easily.
Food was delicious, portion size is good and staff are attentive.

Food was delicious I can highly recommend the manhattan steak it was cooked to perfection. I would have preferred a few more potatoes and left off the tomato sauce as it is also served with a wild mushroom sauce but that's just me.
My family also loved their choices.
We visited twice in our weeks stay in the area. Well worth the drive 😊🥂

Lovely pub with great food and cute atmosphere. Staff was very friendly. Food turn around time was quick even on a busy Sunday afternoon. We had their Sunday Roast which was delicious and offered generous portions with beautiful presentation. Nice selection of local drinks and food specialities. Would recommend booking a table in the bar area as the atmosphere there is particularly nice and comfortable.

Went for Sunday lunch, had to book because it was busy and for very good reason. Staff were efficient and friendly, promptly served us a great guest ale. Our soup and garlic mushroom starters were amazing but we regretted them when the feast of a Sunday roast arrived. We eventually managed to roll ourselves out of the door after paying a very reasonable bill. I really hope we get to come back to this beautiful and welcoming establishment.

Having heard about this place from my sister when she was visiting I had to try it myself. Booked for lunch, arrived and were seated straight away and settled with drinks. My partner and mum both had the fish and chips, which was very appetising and the batter was lovely and crisp. I had the sea bass which was beautiful. Chocolate and orange bread and butter pudding as a special , my partner couldn't resist, thoroughly enjoyed it and with fresh homemade custard. I had the cheese board and was pleasantly surprised with the amount of cheese I wad served, the biscuits that came with it were different than any I have had elsewhere and were so nice. The service was excellent and friendly and the waitress was happy answering questions about the art work. Would definitely recommend.

We we're staying at Clydey Cottages and had to visit twice.
The food is amazing, great flavours and good portion sizes.
The pub is clean, cozy, warm & traditional - loving the log burners.
The staff are really friendly and the atmosphere is great.

Went for Sunday lunch, at the end of service.
Very popular place, very busy. People travel for miles to eat here. The staff were attentive, polite and efficient.
Lovely old pub with lots of atmosphere.
Our party all had roast beef which was very tasty. I'm not a fan of food all piled onto the middle of a plate. Nice freshly cooked vegetables served separately. It would have been nice to have the food served onto a hot plate - it was cold and the food soon became cold.
Good selection of puddings.
Ample parking, wheelchair accessible.
