We were staying in the area and house hunting. Whilst driving to and fro from lots of different areas we frequently drive past this place. It’s easy to just drive by as it’s facing a busy main road.

Luckily we were earlier than expected for a viewing and so stopped for lunch. I am glad we did.

Outside the signage is a modern feel and quite inviting.

Entering you encounter a traditional country pub feel and although it seemed to be a place the locals go to, we were welcomed and staff were very friendly.

We were seated and the lady kindly took my crutches so they didn’t fall over. We were allowed to park the car outside the front window so we could keep an eye on our vehicle which had the dogs in. We didn’t know at the time it was dog friendly.

Menu is simple and prices are reasonable. I opted for homemade soup and a sandwich (a combo offer offered on the menu), this is a great idea as it saves paying for two separate dishes. I really liked the thinking behind this. My wife ordered home made lasagne and garlic new potatoes. The new potatoes were in a creamy garlic sauce and in a separate side dish. My wife said it was very tasty.

Would highly recommend the establishment if your passing- remember it’s easy to drive by but worth stopping if you want good food and a friendly atmosphere.

Highly recommend and would definitely go by again if we decide to move to the area.

First class pub! Does all the pub classics well by the looks of it. The food we had was superb, as we're the drinks. The pub is in a lovely part of Wales with lovely views and is welcoming and modern. The staff were
Excellent, friendly but knew exactly what they were doing; I would highly recommend this place!

I worked just off the path on the railway for the final ecological survey assessing dormice habitats. Lovely area and although we started the shift at night, when the sun rose it was a very peaceful and picturesque area.
And yes there was evidence of dormice nests (which are an endangered native species) 😀

Food and staff are excellent. We had a rib eye and steak and ale pie. Both were delicious. You have a choice of potato and steak sauces. We had the peppercorn which was thick and creamy and you get a jug of gravy with the pie.

Me and my wife recently visited (26-August-2022) and we enjoyed a nice feast. Staff were friendly, prices were reasonable and the portion sizes were great.

Whilst staying in nearby Cold Blow we decided to stop here and have a drink and bite to eat. It was a mid afternoon stop. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the staff were very friendly. The food was gorgeous. My better half ordered the mackerel for starters of the specials menu and I had the duck spring rolls. They tasted sublime. For mains I had chilli nachos whilst my love had Spaghetti Bolognese. They were delicious. The portions were great. If you fancy a lovely friendly pub to share good time that you must give this a try if you are ever in the area.

Drove by from Tenby and spotted this pub from the main road and decided to stop for lunch. Excellent food and good service despite being short staffed like everywhere is at the moment. Would definitely make a stop here again on our next visit to St Davids. The beef Lasagna was excellent and so was the veggie curry of the day. Well done guys.
