They are a total disgrace can never get to contact or see a doctor my mum is house bound and suppose to get home visits but hardly ever does. When we call the surgery we are kept on hold for sometimes half hour or more and when we called for blood test results we were told the doctor would call us back this never happens and 3 weeks ago I called to get a repeat of my mums inhaler for her COPD and was told the doctor will sign it off the next day and this took over a week to reach the chemist now this is totally unacceptable as she needs them to help her breathing so it's vital she gets them ASAP so I want to know why it took a week to get to the chemist clearly someone isn't doing there job. The surgery needs investigating as a matter of urgency

Gives the NHS a bad name. By far the worst experience I've had with any form of medical care. I haven't had a single straightforward experience with this surgery - missing prescriptions, cancelled, delayed and lost appointments, no communication between reception, doctors, nurses etc. Not to mention vile and rude reception staff. I've literally been reduced to tears from the service and treatment of this practice. I've been made to wait 3 months for an appointment with my doctor regarding mental health and diabetes, had to go without my antidepressants because they sent them to the wrong pharmacy, then said I would need a GP appt to re-prescribe? Honestly, do yourself a favour and go somewhere else. I take no pleasure whatsoever in writing this review, but I'm at my wits end at this point.
Side note - the dietitian, I believe his name is Joe, is lovely.

Appointment for an asthma review cancelled on the day, due to nurse being off with Covid. A new appointment was arranged for a couple of days later. I checked in at the surgery and waited half hour from my appointment time. To to the long wait I went to the desk to check with the receptionist who confirmed I was checked in on the system and told me to take a seat. I waited a further 20 minutes before going back to the desk to ask if the nurse was actually working today , to find out that she had called in sick, but this had not been recorded on their system. The staff were sympathetic apologising and asked me to rebook for the following week as they were unable to squeeze me into see another nurse that day.

This is seriously ridiculous! I’ve been with this GP for 27 years it used to be so good and each year passes it is getting bad. Firstly, if you have no spaces for appointments you do not sign up new patients. Secondly, what the receptionist said to me was not right I’m here waiting for a call when it’s in the afternoon apparently when I have a called in. It’s like you pick and chose? Staff should be trained by being honest to patients regardless. And a happy face when we walk in to the practice please as you do not force anyone to come and work their. Your staff member told me to go back to A&E her surname is Begum couldn’t catch her name as she said it so fast
for my 7years old brother she definitely hasn’t got telephone manners.

I have been a patient in this practice for 23 years. My own GP and the emergency GPs have always been extremely knowledgable and went out of their way. The admin staff and nurses are also very helpful and friendly despite the high volume of calls and patients they deal with on a daily basis. I am suffering from various serious complex health issues and it is very reassuring and comforting to have a GP, who thinks out of the box as well as gets to the root of the problems and finds and tries out the best possible solution. I like to thank all at the Lawson Practice for their professional and personal dedication, often going far beyond the line of duty.

We had a good experience here for our littleuns injection - they were patient and we got it done. Seems a nice practice with a good waiting room with toilets, and mini play area for the kids - but thats all I can comment on really :)

A Dr that I have been under for many years deleted a medication from my repeat prescription by mistake. I suffer with severe nerve pain due to my illness and even the normal medication does not do enough to ease it. At present I am waiting for a hip replacement in January and on top of that I have a cyst embedded deep into my hip which will need to be removed at the same time.

My medical history is very complex and I am in severe pain daily. The medication that I need has been authorised by my pain consultant at Barts hospital. I called yesterday afternoon and after waiting on the line for 50 minutes was told to complete a form online that the receptionist (Lisa) sent me. I asked her to wait on the phone incase I had any issues with it. I did, after sending out 2 different online forms to me of which neither were correct which wasn't her fault as the system had changed on that very day she told that she would put me on the list for a call back from either the receptionists or a Dr in the morning. Lisa was very polite and handled the situation well and was under strain due to there only being 2 receptionists on shift in the evening. I praised her for her attitude towards me under the circumstances.

I received a call from another receptionist at just gone 9am and was told that a Dr would give me a call, no Dr did. On ringing back and waiting for quite some again as I was the 8th person in line I was told by Momtaz that the receptionists had tried to call me which was absolute rubbish as the phone was by my side the whole time. She told me that the Dr had made a decision to call me back tomorrow rather than issuing the prescription. Due to the issue I have had no sleep as the meds must be taken at night and due to not receiving them have been in terrible pain. On pleading with her she told me abruptly that the Dr had made his decision and had more important patients to see. When asked to speak to the manager she said that she wasn't at the reception and couldn't put me through and ended the call. I am extremely upset and am in alot more pain than I should be in. Nowhere online can I find out how to contact the manager. The service that I have received has been very poor and I am left feeling extremely upset. We all need help with our medical issues and Momtaz was very clear on telling me that other patients that the Dr chose to deal with are more important than me.

I have been at the surgery for many years and am at the point now of not holding back. The treatment by Momtaz and the Dr who made the decision to not ring or issue the prescription is unacceptable.

Dreadful practice. Impossible to book an appointment. Previously, it was possible to at least enter symptoms online for a telephone consultation sometime within the next two working days (the old vetting system to see if you qualify for an appointment). With the revamped website even this is no longer possible. You need to wait until Monday, 8am to book an appointment, regardless of whether this is an online (screening) or in-person consultation. The absolute worst practice with a high turnover of doctors, and unpleasant, rude receptionists for whom everything always seems to be too much of a hassle. I am just grateful I do not often need a doctor - I would not want to depend on this lot! (patient for over 20 years)
