Worst GP I ever had. Went with my baby for his vaccinations. Every single appointment we had there was an issue with them just changing the time and telling me on the day. First time they texted me the morning of the appointment to tell me. Second time they tell me your time has never been this one it was in the afternoon when I explicitly booked it with the nurse. After insisting to see the notes I see some nonsense written called three times vaccination too early so because it was too early they just booked me the same day in the afternoon 😂😂😂Their online booking system is closed after 30 minutes sometimes you call them and after waiting on the phone for an hour, appointments are gone as if a mum with baby has the time to sit around for them
and the lie about having fixed a new time
without informing me. Avoid there is better I will change as soon as I find another one. Very unprofessional. I hope they sort their booking system out. Just a waste of time.

I wish there was a zero option. There are no words to how awful this surgery is. The doctors are great, that's if you can make an appointment. One of the receptionists is the rudest, foulest person I've ever come across. My prescription is always missing something or I go without as they don't process my repeat prescription requests. My prescription is so simple too so I have no idea why it's so difficult to get right. Don't register here. I've moved so many times and had to register with new doctors and this one is by far the worst. Their online booking system is only open between 8-9am and you can't call the surgery to make an appointment?! When you go to the surgery, the receptionist ignores you for as long as possible and then will tell you that whatever problem you have is your fault. Sack that receptionist! She's bringing down the whole place, every review mentions her, surely someone reads these reviews and should act accordingly. I will say that Dr Kakarla is an exceptional doctor and you're in good hands if you get her, thank you Dr Kakarla!

Always had a good experience at the surgery and it's sister surgery, Castle Hill. The doctors, nurses and health professionals are always pleased to see you and want to help. Special mention for Diane, surgery nurse, always cheerful and Dr Kakala, ( who may have left), great listener!

Terrible experience with this medical practice, appointments can only be done at 8am, when you call and ask to be seen by a doctor the reception tells you that you will get a phone call later and they arrange phone consultation instead of actually beeing seen by a doctor. After this happened, I called the next morning to ask to be seen by the doctor and what I got was an appointment with a nurse where I was told that she cannot do hospital refferals and I need to call again to see a doctor. Did that, called again next morning and was given an appointment with a lady doctor who didn't want to listen to me more than 4 or 5 minutes, rushed me to leave saying that she was busy and didn't refer me to any hospital appointment as she said, without examination of the few symptoms that I described, that I am ok and that I should monitor the symptoms at home for 6 months and call them back after that. No one should be treated like this, this is not the purpose of a gp doctor, who should be there for you, listening to your problems with calm and trying to understand better the situation, and refer you to further investigation when you explain that are worried about symptoms that have been going on for a long time. Lastly I must also mention that this last doctor, after seeing a warning message from the last hospital test which showed that the test should be further investigated, that the commentade by the hospital is wrong and it doesn't need further investigation. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MEDICAL PRACTICE FOR A WHILE, UNTIL THINGS CHANGE, IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HAVE THE WORST EXPERIENCE AND BE LEFT WITH UNTREATED MEDICAL PROBLEMS AND GO THROUGH ALLOT OF STRESS THAT WILL AGGRAVATE YOUR CONDITION

I tried to get an appointment to see a doctor a week ago at St James m/c in Croydon. Their online system was not working yet again. I had to face the rude and unhelpful receptionist again after hanging on my phone for nearly an hour. I was then told all the appointments had gone! I asked this rude receptionist for the sister surgery's contact number in Castle hill so I can speak to the nice surgery myself.
Surprised surprised same receptionist arranged an appointment for me with a PARAMEDIC instead of a doctor at Castle Hill surgery in New Addington!!!! I By then I was feeling frustrated treated by such a nasty receptionist. Nobody would believe how bad the service is unless you are their parients. I had registered at this practice for over four decades!! I had given over 40 years NHS service at various hospitals in London.
I have never ever seen anything like this.
This practice does not deserve even one star!

I swear If there was 0 I would give it such a terrible surgery practise the receptionist are always rude I've been with them since 2005 and I only live 1 mins away everytime I bloody call they always tell me to go to another surgery which is very annoying and when you request for something they always tell you no they need to higher some nice people the reception are fuking rude as always and sometimes deliberately hung up on you after you have been queuing for hours on call disgusting service

Incredibly bad service, I feel so abandoned.
Since joining the practice at the start of the year, there has been problem after problem. When I initially applied to the surgery, they clearly had a mix up with the phone numbers. I had asked them to call me on several occasions but received no phone calls, despite the doctors claiming they had called me on several occasions. I asked them to confirm my phone number and the lady at reception gave me a completely unknown number which didn’t belong to me or any of my family, so I knew there had been a mix up. As you can imagine this concerned me because it could have resulted in a breach of confidentiality, so I asked them to fix it right away. During this period of not seeing the GP, my condition worsened too.
Every time after this when I did get to see the GP, she was extremely rushed and seemed to not care about about anything I had to say. She spoke over me and seemed as though she was trying to desperately get rid of me even though the phone consultations always lasted less than 10 minutes. It really put me off calling for a while, even though when I do call it is because I have a serious concern about my health.

Lastly, about 2 weeks ago I was using the new online consultation form every morning to get a doctor to call me. They have a section where it asks what time you prefer to be called, to which I always specified AFTER 5PM. Clearly they couldn’t be bothered to read this because I kept getting phone calls during the day when I was unable to answer. I called the reception desk and asked them for an explanation and the lady’s response was just that “they don’t scroll that far down the form” and that I should try and call a GP hub instead. This infuriated me because I should have the right to see my doctor!!! Just because my own GP can’t be bothered to do their job properly doesn’t mean I have to go out of my way to search for help elsewhere!!
Immediately after that I signed up to another surgery which had a much better rating and I’m already being treated more professionally.

Moral of the story is DO NOT SIGN UP TO A GP PRACTICE JUST BECAUSE IT’S THE CLOSEST ONE TO YOU!!! Look for one which has good reviews with doctors that actually care about your health and receptions that aren’t too scared to tell the GPs to do their jobs properly!!!!

I have been with this surgery from a baby and the last 10 years has just been terrible. I suffered with terrible eczema and was told they cannot prescribed certain creams which worked for me like they could only prescribe cheap and cheerful aqueous cream.

I sort of let that go but yesterday I called surgery and explained I was in eye pain and receptionist took details and said doctor will call back at some point today.

I missed the call as I took pain relieving tablets and fell asleep, woke up to a message but surgery was then closed.

Called the next day being Friday and was told by receptionist that you will now have to call back Monday as I missed the doctors call.
No concern for my eyes whatsoever.
