The Surgery @ Wheatbridge

The door was open so I just assumed I could walk in but I was wrong as the receptionist started frantically waving her arms at me and telling me I had to wait outside with a 4 month old child in the cold. I waited for 5 minutes outside before being called in to be told by the receptionist I was late haha. Yeah you’ve just made me wait outside for 5 minutes. She then told me that because I was late my appointment may have to be rescheduled as they’re extremely busy! Jokers! I think it’s the same in all GP’s at the moment, do the bare minimum and complain about how hard done by they are. I counted 2 other people in the waiting area so if that’s busy god help us.

I hate doing this I really do but every time I call the doctors I can NEVER get through! I’ve had some rude receptionists but there are really nice ones too and my doctor is so nice Dr Ali but the phone system is the problem. Major Problem. :(

As I say my recent experiences are mostly positive and I think because of Covid19 there asking pt’s to call rather than standing at reception, and I totally understand, trying to be safe and all.

200+ times we called this morning. My partner and I have an 8 week old and noone should have to call 200+ times to speak with a receptionist. Absolutely stupid. Hire more staff to answer phones, this is one of the major doctors in town

Receptionist today friendly & helpful she truly loves her job, great customer service. Had a phone call from a Doctor today friendly, helpful & compassionate. Great customer service.

First time I've been here, I was sent here for the podiatry. Very good at their job, knew what they were talking about. I can't fault them at all, made me feel at ease throughout the whole procedure. I had my toenail removed... totally painless.

Its near on impossible to get through on the phone lines and the receptionists are uncaring. Like robots. They tell you to ring at 8 am and then when you go round there, thereis no appointments available.
The system needs a sort out it realy doesn't work.
It would be helpful start to have receptionist that actualy seem to care.

In the last month I have had to speak to the surgery’s receptionist twice and both time they have been polite and very helpful. Both times they have rang me back when they could have just left it as we arranged but made it easier and quicker for me.

Have been helpful at times but are extremely unhelpful at the moment. Called up today 23/09/21 at 9.55am about some referrals I was concerned about, and whoever took my call was very dismissive and unprofessional, saying such things like, "hospitals are very busy you know," and "who do you think you'd be able to talk to about your referrals?" Think the receptionists need reminding that although they work in a surgery, they're only receptionists and it's the doctor's opinions I want to hear, not theirs.
