Receptionist was rude and rushed the call and was not very welcoming. Not what you want when you feel unwell. I understand why she may have been stressed with all the phone calls but I'm the one that waited 30 minutes just to get through.

Receptionist are 11/10 here … never judgemental or condescending. I moved away from the area but requested to stay at this practice as you hear so many horror stories!

Booking system not currently fit for purpose. (They do admit they are having problems).

You can't book in advance. You must call at either 8am or 12pm for appointments within a few hours notice.

Try calling at the advised time - sorry phone lines are too busy, try later.

12 calls later, enter queue.

25 minutes later, call answered.

Sorry, only emergency appointments left, please try again tomorrow...

Maybe it works OK if you're retired?

Extremely rude and unhelpful receptionist & telephone staff despite being asked routine questions. Felt very unwelcome. Doctors nice if and when we eventually get to see them. Will be looking to lodge a formal complaint, looks like we were not the only people to have experienced this. Repeat prescription system for children not fit for purpose.

So difficult to get an appointment. Rang several times today and the answerphone message says they are experiencing high volume of calls and to try again later. Not a great response when you have health concerns that need to be checked by a GP.

The Receptionists, Nurses and Doctors have been fantastic. I couldn't ask for a better service from the Practice. Thank you so much for your care and vigilance you have given to me. I very much appreciate all your support from every single member of your team

The doctors I’ve had are generally very nice and very informative. The receptionists are usually grumpy and rude whether on the phone or in person. They also have a habit of gossiping to each other when they can clearly see you are waiting for them.

I've always had a really positive experience with the doctors here but unfortunately the receptionsists are not only gate keepers, it's almost like they go out of their way to make you feel uncomfortable.

They're often rude and always giggling down the phone. I recently rang after receiving a message about a medication review, the receptionsist couldn't have been less bothered. She actually said, "I wasn't paying attention, I was reading something on my screen can you repeat what you said", I asked if she was being serious, which she replied with "yes, repeat what you said!". I've dealt with her before and it was a similar situation, she rang saying that I shouldn't have been issued my prescription (by my doctor!) because I needed a review..... this was two weeks after receiving my medication. She was actually pretending to have more authority over my own GP about the medication I was on......

The lack of compassion, empathy and understanding just makes me wonder if they hire literally anyone to be a receptionist. If you don't care about helping patients or if you find your job boring, simply don't work somewhere that is supposed to help people.
