when i first contacted the doctors they seemed really lovely however this is where the positives end. i initially contacted them with tonsiltis and i had a telephone conversation where they prescribed me with antibiotics and i was happy with this as i understood due to covid they were giving out less appointments. however i rang again a week later as my tonsilitis had come back after finishing the antibiotics. by this point i was severly unwell, unable to eat drink or get out of bed and in lots of pain. all they offered me was a repeat prescription of the antibiotics and another telephone conversation with a nurse when i had completley lost my voice, with no choice to even speak to the doctor . i felt very alone as im an 18 year old student and it was my first time moving away from home. i had to be picked up and drove 5 hours home as i wasnt getting any better. i then ended up in a and e the next day and was told i had glandular fever which wasnt even brought up as a possibility in either phone call. i then was admitted into hospital for the second time ,where i was alone as no visitors were allowed due to covid, after still being severly unwell for over a month where i was diagnosed with severe tonsilitis aswell as glandular fever. the doctor also said the reason i had been ill for so long was due to me being misprescribed antibiotics originally as they gave me them for 7 days instead of the standard prescription of 10 days for tonsilitis. this created antibiotic resistant bacteria which i was only able to get on top of after 3 months of being unwell. this led me to miss a whole semenster of uni nearly causing me to drop out. i wouldnt recommend this gp at all they had no regard for my severity of illness and cant even prescribe the right antibiotics for a very common condition

Absolutely terrible doctor. I had severe tonsillitis which I had to go to a&e for after he said there was nothing wrong with me. I'd recommend changing practice ASAP.

So I got and text appointment at 8 am which told me to be at 10 in morning as since last three days Were holidays and gp was not available. As I was sleeping I couldn’t see the txt. So I called them up to rearrange and they didn’t pick the call . So I went to hospital the lady at receptionist was so rude. She told me to call again and book the appointment.

I called them again and unfortunately that same lady picked the call and again she was extremely rude she was like find yourself new Gp. Common she dosent need to tell me .
Your at reception to do your job and make patients feel comfortable. Not to irritate them with harsh words.

I know doctor is really kind as I talked to him previously.. but worst staff receptionist,, please look into this issue as people come to you guys to make sure they feel good not to listen your rude behaviour..

Couldn’t ask for a better experience. Lovely receptionist, both times I’ve called in I’ve gotten an appointment the next day. The doctors are lovely and really attentive, the problems I’ve had have been addressed and sorted really quickly, and I’ve left the appointments feeling really happy. The only slight issue I had is that prescriptions can only be picked up between 11-1130 - but this is understandable with covid, and you can just ask for them to be sent to another pharmacy to collect. Very happy, especially compared to my last surgery!

Never had any issues here. Most of my dealings have been during covid, in which I spoke to the GP on the phone and sent photos of an infection via email, instead of a face to face appointment. This process was efficient and he wrote me a prescription the next day. I've also had to visit the nurse, who was extremely kind and put me at ease. The young receptionist is always pleasant on the phone, too. Overall 5 stars.

One of the worst GP and management I have ever seen. After 4 months of sending emails, phone triage, I finally got an appointment with the dr. (150 days to see the GP). The Lady GP is extremely rude and unprofessional. She didn't have patience to listen to all the symptoms I have. Just after some 30-40 seconds , while I am explaining the multiple symptoms to the Lady GP's, her response was, in her own words "other patients are waiting, I can only see one complaint at a time. If you have any other symptoms or complaints you've to book another appointment". Shocked !!!. One complaint at a time??? Really??? How would I know that these symptoms arent related?. I am not dealing with someone from a hardware or a mobile repair shop. For a patient can't you take atleast 5 mins?. Without listening to the symptoms how can you possibly treat a patient? 🤦. With this attitude I am damn sure she'll kill someone at some point in time in her career by her ignorance (ignoring the symptoms of the patients). Strongly recommend to change your GP to somewhere else. She didn't even bother to make a note atleast (no pc no laptop no paper no pen she used her mobile torch). The nurse is the only staff that seems to care about the patients. No wonder this place has just "2" star rating, that too for the humane and polite approach of the nurse. Out of 67 reviews more than 50 ppl gave just one star rating with huge grievance written in the review. Someone from the council or NHS Wales should take an appropriate step.

I can only comment on my experience with signing up and visiting the nurse for a smear test. After reading reviews I am dreading the day that I need to go to visit the doctors!

The signing up process was... Interesting... And could only register at certain times during the week. I moved house and emailed the surgery to advise them to the change of address, but it was input incorrectly into the system so that another address had my test results sent to them. Generally all other email comms have been addressed quickly.

The nurse practicioner doing my smear test was an absolute treasure, 5* for her! It was my first one and she immediately put me at ease and made me feel very comfortable.

I just can't recommend enough that you avoid this surgery. The doctor mistyped and prescribed me the wrong medication, it had such an awful impact on my health. One day I had my usual medication then the next, I have nothing because he prescribed antihistamines by mistake. Mistakes happen but the doctor's attitude is appalling. He's given really inappropriate advice with regards to my health concerns.
