Rude reception staff who have to know what's wrong with you before they will make an appointment (where's the privacy). It can take weeks to actually see a gp face to face. E consult is a joke takes ages for someone to get back to you. And more often than not when you are told someone will call you for a phone consultation they either don't call back at all or leave it days to call. If you do manage to actually see a gp they will only discuss one matter at a time and ask you to make another appointment which the receptionist will then not make and asks you to call the day you want the appointment ( when they will say they dont have any left for that day) . Now I can see why so many people go to A&E departments when they are unwell instead of their gp. It's because it is easier and alot less stressful than trying to get a doctors appointment with church surgery. My advice is if you value your health go elsewhere.

A circus would more useful to someone who is unwell than this place!

It's a complete and utter shambles. My wife has been a patient here for 50 years and has finally had enough. Today she phoned at 8.30am (for the first of many times today!) rude reception staff giving contradictory information and told she could not see a Doctor and she will be phoned by the Doctor which she repeatedly said was utterly pointless as they had done this several times
previously and are no further forwards.

Last time the doctor actually said to her "what would you like me to do?" .....what a ridiculous question .....you are the doctor for god's sake!!!!

She then had to ring back several more times and was eventually told by an even more rude member of staff "have you ever worked in a reception we are extremely busy you know".

The doctor then eventually called her at 18:17hrs (on a Friday evening and they close at 18:30) constantly talked over her, rushing through the consultation and then ended up telling her he couldn't diagnose her over the phone!!!!!! Really? That's why she wanted an appointment in the first place!!

Still no appointment offered (apparently the receptionist will be in touch!!) and off he swanned to enjoy the weekend as was clearly his intention all along.

He left her in tears and at the end of her tether due to her symptoms and all the rubbish she has been through with them.

This surgery is an utter disgrace frankly and I look forward to the "practice manager" getting in touch to explain themselves (I won't hold my breath!)

After 50yrs my wife will be moving surgery and never setting foot here again and we would advise their other patients do the same!

Rubbish they dont care if you only have one day off to see a doctor from work they can't fit you in no matter how ill you feel you're supposed to just suffer even if your throat feels like it's closing up they don't give a monkeys they try to send you to the pharmacy so they don't have to deal with you when you know you need to see the doctor.

Arrived well in time for my appointment 4.15,and writing this while still waiting to see the Doc, not good.1 hour and 40 minutes b4 seeing doctor, with no explanations or apology for the delay. The doctor then rushed through the appointment and couldn't get me out of the consultation room quickly enough. I understand surgeries/doctors are under extreme pressure, but there was no thought of me or my feelings at this time, I was not happy.

Was told the nurse is running late that's why I was waiting 1 and a half hours to be seen. When I got in to see the nurse she said "sorry about the delay the reception team didn't tell me you were here". As you can imagine I was not happy that I was waiting so long. This is just one of a few incidence over the last 2 years where the service has been well below what I would expect.

I want to thank the staff at Church Surgery. The reception team are always friendly, the doctors have been kind and the nurses (especially Janice) have really put me at ease. I would put 5 stars but the pharmacy lets the surgery down. Thank you Church Surgery!

Seriously, between the impolite admin who just flat out don't let you finish talking, to the fact that they told me I had to wait nearly 3 weeks for an appointment to do with the fact that I was finding it increasingly difficult to breath, to the fact that they "lost" my diagnosis of asthma and GAD and it took me ages to get a new inhaler? Church surgery take weeks to get anything done, and I'm pretty sure they just dismiss me because I'm young and therefore likely at less risk- I get ill extremely frequently and have never, once, in my two years of being signed up, had them *actually* help me with something. Been meaning to change GPs for months now, but I haven't been well enough at any poiny during that time (you know, because they refuse to help me) to actually do it.
Absolutely terrible, I cannot think of a single time they have actually helped me. I've just been having to start calling 111 instead.

Absolutely useless. They're practically impossible to contact in the first place. If you do manage to contact them, you have to wait for them to get back to you and they don't always do that.
In the unlikely event of actually getting an appointment, it's over the phone so they can't really check anything. It's all guess work as to what's wrong.
