Good range of produce, given it's such a small shop. Better fresh fruit and veg than the co-op, and the staff are much friendlier.

An excellent local shop selling fresh produce, sundries, wine and beer, newspapers, greetings cards and lots more. A great alternative to the Co-op! Just opposite the butchers and deli for your full weekly shop!

Opposite the butchers, you can't miss it.

We first discovered The Old Papershop in Talgarth a couple of years ago. Immediately I was struck by (at first) the superior quality of the produce but then as we shopped there the welcoming warm presence of the proprietors, Claire and John. With George’s Butcher across the road it became a weekly pleasure to go into Talgarth to shop. I am not a shopper by nature but I looked forward to shopping there. Then Covid hit and as we are elderly we worried about exposure but Claire and John took care of us. Delivering our weekly order became not just great produce being delivered safely to our door but what became a good friendship with a young couple who represent the best of Wales. We are moving north next week and,frankly, I don’t think they are replaceable. Nothing was ever too much to Claire and John.
