Balham Glass & Joinery

Ordered shower screen, waited for three weeks. When installers finally came, they realized they took the wrong measurement and the size was wrong. They took the glass back and promised to come back within a week with new glass, and now it's been two more weeks. No glass, no update. Every time I call, the answer was "your glass is not ready, and we can't promise when it will be"!
Please avoid Balham Glass if you can.

After dodging my calls for several days, they finally replied, saying that their "glazing business is being liquidated", as a result, they refused to do anything and ask me to "wait to hear from the liquidator".
Company House records show that the two owners have incorporated several entities under same or similar trade names, some have been dissolved along the past few years, some are still active. And my contacts who deal with the business confirmed that the business operates as normal and is still taking new orders.
We are pursuing all options including taking legal action, In the meantime, we are left with no functional shower room to use. I feel obligated to share this appalling experience. My advice - please avoid Balham Glass wherever possible.

We used Balham Glass to do a conservatory extension to a ground floor flat and to manufacture and install new internal doors and external doors. The service was appalling. Very little communication, unexplained delays which resulted in additional costs, taking the wrong measurements meaning that they had to order new glass for the conservatory, not turning up to site despite assuring us when they would be there, not coordinating with other trades. It was a nightmare and I spent most of the time trying to get a hold of them. There also seemed to be a total lack of communication within their own team which I found myself also having to manage. The only plus side is the doors do seem to be of good quality. If you just need a simple door or window to be fitted and installed then maybe they are up to it, but definitely not great for bigger construction projects. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience and alot of added stress for no reason. I would not recommend them or use them again.

We replaced several windows in our house, which involved some complicated design specifications and a lot of complex joinery to preserve the old shutters and wood panelling. I am extremely relieved to have found Balham Glass and Joinery . The service I received right from the outset was more than I expected. They throw themselves into the work.

Company recommended by family member who had glass bannisters fitted. Decided to have my bannisters done, good job disappointed with the theft from one of my bedrooms not discovered until next day Balham Glass have chosen to ignore complaint. I’ve lost £140 but in the long run they’ve lost 3 potential jobs which I will not be recommending them for . Happy new year
