What a course! Makes you play golf clever. Can’t use driver on every hole. Very undulating greens. Club house is very nice! Food was amazing. Genuine 5 star from me. Only thing that would have been awesome is if the driving range had a little more length to it. Great course

My most favourite player ever, one of my favourite courses designed to capture a full range of skills in true Seve style, risk and reward everywhere. Take to many risks and the course will surely win. 6 par 3's, 6 par 4's and 6 par 5's.
We played in a handicap match, unsurprisingly the home team are unbeaten for 7 years. We lost hands down 4 - 0 fourball better all, what a great bunch of guys, well done Lloyd and Dave great company.
The course is immaculate tee to green, the staff very attentive in every way possible.
If you live London or Hertfordshire put it on your to do list, you'll love it.
The owner and family run everything, he followed us round the back 9 for a few holes, must be so proud to have a piece of one of the greatest ever golfers and his work.

The greens are pristine - absolutely perfect. And each hole is unique. The Shire is definitely one of the most enjoyable courses I’ve played.

Good course. Plenty of water to consider. Greens quick.

Pro shop is smaller than expected and clubhouse and changing rooms showing signs of a little west and tear.

Driving range not entirely suited to this type of club. Only irons and only markers to 75 yards. Nets provided for woods and drivers.

Food & Beverage decent.

Close to M25.

Haven't played here for a while, but this morning was every bit as good as I remembered. Course is immaculate - great job by the greenkeeper team. Greens flat and fast, but fair with a superb roll. Fairways are in awesome condition, impressive given the recent hot, dry weather. Great layout, challenging but again, fair. Needs careful thinking about lines, lay ups etc. Outlook from the terrace is amazing and all the staff we encountered were very friendly. Great job all round.

Would definitely visit again. Steve and crew were friendly and more than accommodating, and the course was beautiful.

Imho It's marmite course. Loved the complexity and trickery of it. Seve has done a grand job designing it, but I felt that it was too hard for the average golfer and more enjoyable for single digit golfers. Nevertheless a great round and probably would return but will make sure to bring more balls as I almost ran out this time.
