Played the Montgomery course in January as the Bruce was closed for Winter. All greens were open and the course was in reasonable condition considering the recent heavy rain. The course is flat, tree lined with several burns and ponds. Overall a challenging and interesting game of golf. Hospitality in the pro shop and club house was excellent and a good selection of food choices available. We enjoyed the soup and sandwiches. Hope to be back in the Summer.

Had a mini golf break in the area and played both the Montgomery and Bruce courses. Both in great condition, particularly the greens. Only downside to both courses would be the bunkers. Not the best sand so a bit of a lottery when playing out of same. Great setting and very picturesque, particularly with the common sight of red squirrels crossing the fairways. Probably preferred the Bruce out of the 2. Would recommend getting a course guide as some well placed and unexpected water features/ditches on both courses. Can't comment on the clubhouse as restricted to numbers and 2 outings were there on the day. Pro was very helpful.

Great layout, brilliant greens, fairly long walk but it's all level. Bunkers (there are lots) seem to be full of something other than sand. That's the only drawback. Nice inside the clubhouse, friendly staff and food was good.

Over night stay with a round on both courses. Hotel was fine. Rooms and some things dated and needed upgraded. Food and service was excellent we had great dinner and lovey wine 🍷. However golf courses are decent, two different courses but both desperately needing sand.

Great 2 golf courses. Both a good challenge.
Shame we couldn't get any food after 2pm , not even a sandwich or anything like that. A bit disappointing after a long game of ⛳
