Played on a society today very disappointed as always loved going to this course
food was breakfast and lunch and was terrible
Golf course was not in good condition at all fairways and greens in poor condition very disappointed as have always enjoyed coming to this venue
Course having loads of work done to it so maybe the green fees should be lower but no excuse for the food very poor quality for what we got charged really disappointed that im writing this review as have always rated this place highly

Essendon NEW is over 6000 yards off the yellows a very mature tree lined parkland course with an easy undulating fairway walk, dogleg holes, fairway bunkers & water hazards therefore course management comes into play with true undulating greens.
The greens, fairways & bunkers were all in good condition but the 2nd cut was punishing due to the thickness. There was several long par 4’s. So if you’re a short hitter like me you will struggle to get there in 2.The driving range was a very long distance from the 1st tee with about 10 bays & prices. I would recommend using the large driving net next to the starter’s hut, with the practise putting chipping green & bunkers next door .Great Club house, friendly staff but service very slow. Overall a very good course will definitely play it again and worth a visit. I went on a corporate day, otherwise a bit prices @ £60 during the weekday look for a deal?

A beautiful parkland location comprising two courses - the Old Course a little longer than the New and perhaps a little more challenging. An impressive, historic clubhouse, but the highlight for me was the quality of the catering - though a keen golfer, I would happily come here just to dine!
