Kalamari

It's really nice restaurant! Very calming music and beautifully painted walls. Great service. The foods are very very delicious! I took my partner here for his birthday and he was very impressed with it. I am very happy I found this place. We highly recommend to everyone to try this out! Thank you very much for the amazing time!!!

Kalamari is a Greek spot on Chiswick high. We originally came here due to the Amex shop small offer but only to find out that they stopped accepting Amex.

Regardless, the food was decent and the restaurant seems popular with locals. The mezze platter was good with the delicious pitta bread. The halloumi was really good especially with the chilli jam. The calamari ironically was average. We ordered two grilled dishes and they were nice. The meatball in one of them was tasty. The slow cooked lamb was mixed. Some parts were really good but other parts were rubbery. Wines and dessert was good options too.

The restaurant was playing some really loud music. That made it a little hard to converse. Think it was playing off YouTube or something with the occasional ad.

Very good place for the service of the table, kind and customer-oriented staff.
Everything I ordered was tasty and acceptable time served.

I discovered this place 7 years ago and I keep coming back whenever I have a chance. The food is always excellent, the atmosphere is great and the staff extremely friendly and kind. Even if I am not Greek I almost feel like home in this restaurant. καλή όρεξη!

This was a really nice restaurant. It is in a very nice area (Chiswick), and the waiters are friendly and happy to recommend things. My entrees (Calamari and Basturma) were delicious. I ordered Kleftico for my main course, and the meat just melted off the bone. Absolutely gorgeous food. Recommend if you are ever in the area.

Disappointing on the whole.
Friday night ,not overly busy ,the service was fast and efficient but cold -as the atmosphere.
Ordered some starters and a main course ,arrived fast .They were tasty but not super hot .The Greek salad had barely any oil.(not even salt and pepper on tables but of course we could ask for it ).Tzatziki had no taste of garlic but tons of cucumber .
A starter of grilled prawns for 8.50 pounds was actually 2 prawns!the quality overal was good but not great .
Asked for the bill and got served a piece of paper ,HANDWRITTEN ,adding a service charge as well.We were shocked .we had to ask for a Vat receipt.
The only reason I leave this review with so much detail is because I really think they should do better ,as they are charging for that .

This afternoon about 4pm, 3 of us popped in to Kalamari; at that hour, it wasn't busy, only 2 other tables with customers. We had the most DELICIOUS meal outside of Cyprus, where I lived for a few years.
The waiter was a young guy who was very friendly, and just for me, he changed the background mixed Greek playlist to just Yiannis Ploutarhos 🥰 The food and the music took me straight back to my Cyprus days.
Two of us had sea bream, which was succulent, moist and delicious, even the veg was very tasty. The third member of our party had the mixed grill and she also enjoyed her meal.
Kalamari is a lovely little restaurant, the staff are welcoming, and the food really is SO good.
