I am a huge fan of Whole foods but unfortunately my last experience at this store specifically was disappointing.. I always like to pop in after work on Mondays, to treat myself to some of their salads, buy some of my favourite foods or even just to wonder around the isles.

Went on Monday after a long time, since i now visit the one on High Street Kensington, and it didn’t feel the same as it used to.

Went to get some food from the salad bar, it didn’t look great, but still decided to get it. The employee who served me asked me which combo i would like, i said the vegetarian combo, ended up charging me more for another combo after having a whole discussion about it.. when i asked why he charged me for the more expensive combo he didn’t know what to say and just took the pack and changed the label. I kindly asked if he could warm it up for me, he said there’s a microwave on your way out.

Went to pay and as i was walking to the counter someone who I assumed was the supervisor, repeatedly kept telling me in the rudest way possible “we are in the middle of something just wait”. There are many ways to say something to a customer and that was not it. The employee that came to then take the payment at the counter saw how unsettled i felt and kindly smiled at me and was super kind.

After searching to find the microwave, it wasn’t working properly so it took me a while having to stop and restart it as the plate turning was coming out of its place constantly.

Lastly, these small details from a well respected food market chain that values customer satisfaction make it seem mediocre. For me, its about the experience of shopping at whole foods and not just the products.

Hope you find this review helpful

It was my first time here. It's the typical place where the vegetables (and everything else) look good and beautiful. Prices are a bit high but you are paying for quality. They have a good selection of beers and gourmet products as well as some hard to find food. I was surprised to find Spanish tortas at a fair price. They also use paper bags, which is nice too. Many shops should start using paper instead of having to buy heavy plastic bags that, let's be honest, almost no one will reuse.

Been here for years to grab food as I work nearby.
Sept. 22: Lunch food stall has been reduced to bare minimal, no hot food served and veggie dish too close to the non veggie dishes.
In addition the staff serving cannot be more obnoxious if we ask a question regarding the dishes.
You need to up your game so that customers come back!

Disappointing. Came for a mocha which was fine but then wanted to get some food from the cafe. No pizza slices and little choice of anything else. Asked for some soup and was told it was self service - fine. The cheese and broccoli soup was lumpy but I decided to go with it anyway. Then took it to the check out (which was not clearly signposted - the other side of the shop). Told to eat it with a tiny wooden spoon. Would’ve cost £5 for the pleasure … I politely declined and left. Nice staff just a shame that they don’t use proper cutlery or bowls and charge you a ridiculous amount to do so. Will not be going back sadly.

Fruit and veggies are much more fresh than supermarkets and not as expensive as you’d think. Great to have this on my doorstep

Great range for organic and vegan options. Fresh products. But can be quite pricey.
Recently visited to get some products. Asked an Asian gentleman (staff) where U can get either prune or prune juice. T
It took some time for him to understand I am asking for "prune" and not "prawn". Then the reply was "we don't do them here, haven't seen any fir a while. This is quite a small store, you should try our bigger outlets". I didn't believe anything he said so went looking for myself. I had to ask another staff member and found BOTH items (well stocked) easily. I wanted to give a feedback to this guy about my experience when he was on his way out having finished his shift. He was quite dismissive and unapologetic. I think even if he wasn't sure what I was asking, he should have asked for help rather than being so unhelpful and dismissive.

While not the largest Whole Foods in London, it may be the friendliest and most helpful. Thanks for all the help and guidance Kate!

Not the service I expected from Wholefoods. A completely unhelpful & unfriendly manager with an attitude problem. She is not helping with a faulty product but also trying to put the blame on me. Downright rude & put me off going there👎🏽
