The prices can’t usually be beaten, the quality is generally good- although some fruit and veg doesn’t seem to last as long as other stores. Store is clean, bright and staff are quick to get you through checkout, but some items seem to regularly move and you can almost never get every item you need - either because ALDI don’t stock it or the stock has been battered by customers (it’s better to shop passively than take a very specific dinner-planned list but the low cost encourages overspending). The special buys sometimes have great deals hidden in there or a branded product

I can not believe the difference between this Aldi and the Newquay one. Every aisle had somebody stocking up and stands pulled out. It was obvious that there were many uncompleted tasks being left for another time. I did not complete my shop as the frustration of trying to get around what felt like a major refit was just too much. It is nearly 20 years since i was a trainer manager for a food chain but i am sure the principles have not changed this much. Customers are not a nuisance that gets in the way of running the shop! Finish one job before starting the next. If you barricade a display nobody will buy.

I leave the Mrs to do the food shopping while I browse the middle isle deals. However I didnt see any stollen bites. A Christmas line. I prefer them to the log.
