Öncü Food Centre - Hornchurch

Love this place! I've a lot of food allergies and they stock a lot of things not found in other supermarkets. Staff always very helpful to me as I have mobility issues. The cakes on the counter, while not cheap, Turkish/Greek pastries, are out of this world!

They have so much food from all round the world..the smell of the spices is amazing. You have to take your time to really have a look at everything..they have beautiful desserts from Greece and the freezer section is overflowing with such delicious foods. I did ask for price check and was helped..but on a product availability wasn't very helpful just sent me to another section..but it's nice to see all the fresh produce and everything else. Well worth a visit.

They've the finest Butcher in hornchurch, extremely good quality meat and very helpful butcher willing to help you to cut according to your chosen size, vegetable selection is excellent so do herbs and fresh olives which you won't get anywhere near by, I'll highly recommend though pricing is on higher side.

Only buy foods that are marked up so you know what your paying! Fruit and veg especially tomatoes are a complete rip off! Overcharged big time at the till £3 20 for a small handful of tomatoes!,didn't pay of course!

Great place to shop got many different overseas food which is nice and makes a change. Prices are reasonable, especially for this current situation where everything is expensive. Meat is nice.

Unlike the old ownership, the new owners have put out more products to choose from. In fact, so much more that there are constantly stuff blocking and left in the middle of the paths between the isles or just chucked in the corner for when someone can actually bother putting it away. The only thing similar to before is that everything is overpriced, but now it is even worse. So yeah, you've got the choice of many products, but you pay the unreasonable price... just like any other similar shop.
I shop there and just because they have stuff I can't find anywhere else, but I am put off by the price at the end.

Rude staff .
A lady front of me with her daughter at the till. Girl picked up some chocolate by the till and the women who was serving them she asked them : are you buying that too ? Mother said no. Then the women told the little girl, if you not buying it stop touching and put it back!
I was shocked by her attitude.
Also everything is overpriced I need it to go back and ask for a refund
After I've got in a car and looked at the receipt why I paid so much. Paid £6 for a bag of crisps 😡 .
And 3 pieces of kohlrabi £3, 80
Avoid this place!

Although the selection they have is good , but their prices are not accurate, not 1 or twice it happened to me they add too much to the products u buying especially the butcher , they put the wrong price and they always give you more than u asked for to make u pay more , sad they cannot be honest towards their customers !!
