The Alconbury Commissary is fairly decent for getting some of the staples from back home. It's the only place to find American style sour cream, as the UK version has a different fat content. They also have a good selection of breakfast cereals, and pretty much all the stuff that is familiar. However, I took a half point off because they have problems keeping stuff in stock, and half a point for the produce being fairly sparse and not as fresh as you can get in UK supermarkets. After almost a year of shopping, I have found that the most annoying of their stocking problems lies in the medicines department, as they can never seem to keep American cold meds in stock.

It's great for your American dry goods and maybe your meat depending on what you buy. Don't buy veggies though unless your there anyway. Their ready made sandwiches are the largest I have seen at any commissary!

Was driving by on holiday and stopped by to buy a few things. Our UK friends that we was able to get on base was amazed at all the American foods we was able to buy. Was very surprised at the items we waa able to buy in England. The workers were very friendly and helpful on checking out. Will stop by again on our next holiday in England.

For a very small commissary, it’s pretty good. I do wish their buyer would work on expanding the selection of dry goods but in general I’m really happy. Everyone who works here is really friendly and helpful!

Always a great trip there. They no longer have pickled okra which is one of my favorite things.

Nice to be able to shop for the things we miss from the states.

Lots of food choices but they've reduced staff so be prepared for long lines while the only guy working the register also has to help people in the self checkout registers.
Literally only one person working on a payday weekend.

Edit: the one gentleman working the register and the self checkout registers is extremely patient and professional with a certain haughty patron. Good job, sir.

American prices in England. Hours could be better. Nothing special.
