I am so lucky to say this is my local shop! It is always really well stocked and full of things you wouldn't expect to get in such a small shop. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. I make a point of buying things on a daily basis to help support it as I would really miss it if it wasn't there! Great job guys.....see you later! ;)

I normally have an excellent experience here until now. Came to collect my Cult Beauty order as I selected click and collect on their website. Was surprised that Cult Beauty chose Royal Mail to deliver but didn’t think much of it until I came in to collect my parcel. I was served by a young lady with long, wavy, blonde hair whom I’ve never met before but she seemed confused that I was collecting a Royal Mail parcel from them. She asked if I lived upstairs and I said no. Then she asked if I manually put in their address and I said I did not. I was initially confused by the question and said all I did was select “click and collect” on Cult Beauty’s website and chose the nearest store. She then assumed I put in the address manually and gave me a small lecture on how I shouldn’t be doing that as they don’t receive a commission and they won’t be responsible if the parcel got lost. It’s understandable but I was perplexed and annoyed that I was spoken to that way, especially when there’s another customer in the queue. It was quite embarrassing. So I just showed her my ID anyway but she merely shrugged and said there’s no need for me to show it as its not her/stoke local’s responsibility. I get where she’s coming from but she should not be accusatory in her tone. It’s also not my fault that Cult Beauty chose a different delivery service. She should take this up with them and not me. Please inform this particular staff to be more mindful on how she communicates to customers. I always have a pleasant experience with other staff.

Excellent Service when buying wines as a gift. The gentleman running this shop was very knowledgeable on the wines, I asked lots of questions and was happy with my purchases. He helped with gift wrapping too.

In a world of grumpy courier drop off places, this is a breath of fresh air. Friendly staff, great service and really useful source of groceries and other useful bits. Thanks!
