Nice upgrade 😂😂😂😂 Shut for a week and reopen to find pretty much the same store except for some fancy lights in the shelves and everything moved around for no reason oh and a lot of higher prices to pay for the refurb 😏

Aldi is the main Tesco's competitor, being better in some things and worse in others. The main 2 things are prices and product quality. Of course, Aldi is known for its "cheap" prices, though they are only cheap when compared to overall prices in England. In comparison to prices in my motherland(Ukraine), everything in UK is crazy expensive: 2l of Coke in Ukraine would cost around £0.6, but here it's at least 2 pounds! Anyway, i'd say Aldi is 1.5x cheaper than Tesco, but the products are also of worse quality by 1.5x than Tesco's. So its a question of choice, or just go to Tesco. Idk why I spent time writing this poem but maybe it helps:)

Popped in for their excellent curry sauces which Lidl have stopped selling. These are also great value for money.

The staff member manning the till was friendly and efficient.

Staff very friendly in there, got everything we went in for, and a bit more good bargains in the middle isle.

Good supermarket, this one being sited in Ebbw Vale a much cleaner store than Abergavenny , hopefully when the refurbishments are complete at Abergavenny it will be run as clean as Ebbw vale site.

Used to go to other well known supermarkets, my daughter shops here and I've started shopping here , great products and you see the difference at the til , this has become my weekly shopping place I love it.

good prices which i prefer to shop online for as its usually too busy instore
