+ Very stylish rooms in an apartment style, would be a great stay for young people, students, couples and possibly travelers. Incredibly well equipped with hairdryer, iron, coffee etc. Kitchen was an excellent addition but I didn’t really use it as was just staying overnight for a meeting. Good location, walkable to the centre.
- The £100 deposit was held for 7 days, left me short and was more than the price of the room. Some of the staff struggled with comminicating well in English so customer service suffered, the radiator was right next to the toilet and burnt me, the curtains didn’t open and close properly and it was a ground floor room which I wasn’t notified of in advance. The buzzers at the door go straight to the rooms and there are no staff on site. Check in wasn’t staggered so everyone arrived at 3pm to one member of staff. Just a few niggles which could be ironed out to make the hotel more attractive to business customers.

Pretty good accomodation. Everything clean, simple but comfortable. The bed was good, bathroom just fine, warm, quiet.
There is a communal kitchen for everybody who wants to take breakfast or put something in the fridge.
Very clear instructions about picking/dropping the key.
The location is great, just at the corner of the park.
Easy to find.
Lots of little shops and restaurants/cafes in the vicinity.
I recommend it for a low budget trip.

There are no reception at the building. Had to call someone to sort us out. Eventually we got the keys and we did find where everything was and the facilities were decent. I just think the checking in process as well as payment process were too much of a hassle and were not very clear. Some of us also had to pay deposit whilst other didn't. For a long stay, it can be recommended because of the location but for a short stay it's far too much of a hassle when you just want a bed for a night or two.

I have stayed in this place for two months and really enjoyed it. The room is specious and nicely decorated. The staff are really friendly and helpful. They were responding quickly to my enquiries and have provided me with all what I have asked for. Cleaning was done every week. The location is central and close to all what one would need.

I stayed in one of the single rooms. Great price/quality ratio.
The booking process went smoothly, the day of arrival you receive an email with the check-in indications (contact-less check-in due to Covid), the indications were detailed and easy to follow.
The room was clearly recently renovated, all the furniture was pretty new or in good condition. The bathroom was small but all the appliances worked fine, the showerhead had good water pressure (I'm a bit picky with this detail). Used the kitchen only a few times but it was big and clean, 2 fridges, 2 microwaves, etc, coffee machines, all the necessary stuff. Location is really good, ~15 mins walking from King's College (City Center). Sainsburys in less than 5 mins walking and Tesco in less than 10.
WiFi was fast and stable, this was specially critical for me as I was working remotely a few days of my stay.
The only issue I found was the noise from the street. My room (number 7) was facing the street, Mill Road, which happens to be one of the busiest roads in Cambridge, and unfortunately the windows havent been replaced, they are thin glass, therefore specially during the morning the room was a bit noisy, nothing unbearable, I got used to it quite quickly, but just something to keep in mind. Replacing the windows with thicker, noise cancelling ones would solve this issue (note to the owners)
Overall a great stay for a really good price.

I made a one month reservation and I had many problems:
1/ A customer has experienced a water leak at a ceiling light and the first answer was “no worries it’s safe”. After refusing to stay in this dangerous room, I had less than 2 hours to change rooms if not peymans leave me in this dangerous place.
2/ I did not have heating for 18h in the new room. The room was at 13°C. I waited 4 hours for an employee to bring me a heater, but he came with empty-handed. This same employee left almost as quickly to finally bring me a fan 1h later. I had the backup heater only at 4 p.m. while the problem was reported the previous day at 10 p.m. Which means I spent a freezing night and day. This employee came to repair the main heating and that the room was heated with an auxiliary heater during all my stay.
3/ I had to ask for someone to come to clean the room and change the sheets because after a week nothing was done. Then it was agreed that cleaning would be done every Friday. But obviously it was not the case, so the cleaning and the change of the sheets were done on Saturday because I sent an email. In addition, to “answer” my urgent request, it was dropped on a doormat a fitted sheet on Friday evening.
4/ I have to leave the hotel 10 days earlier because of the COVID-19. When i asked for a refund i was kindly told that it was not policy. I had a refund of 15% on my effective time of stay in compensation for my mishaps. Peymans did it twice to before I received the proper amount...
5/ In Peymans policy, I should be refund of my £100 deposit within 48h. However, More than 3 weeks later, I am still waiting for it. Apparently, Peymans has difficulties. I do not understand why since Peymans was able to refund of 15% on my effective time.
Peymans is absolutely not reliable!

Outright horrible - most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in

Already started with a really poor check in experience, it took them two hours and like five phone calls from me to send me payment link that was working. That plus a highly uncommon fee of 100 pounds that they are going to keep for up to two weeks in case I „break something“. Should have cancelled my booking right there.

Continuing with the room. THE most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in, and I have slept in a lot of hotels on various budgets. Just a single bed, every single spring in the mattress palpable, my back hurt after minutes. Needless to say the mattress was also completely worn out and basically had the form of an u. It was also incredible squeaky, every time I turned around or just moved to much the bed squeaked. I had to sleep with airplugs.

Aside from the bed: the chair was covered with scratches, the bathroom bin was not emptied (ugggh), the shower didn’t drain properly and there was just a tiny bit of soap. Various damp spots in the bathroom and on the ceiling

The communal kitchen: sticky floor, fridges dirty and dodgy.

I flagged all issues to them within one hour after I arrived, none of it was fixed (except the shower drain which was fixed the night before I left). I stayed for four nights so they had plenty of time. Nothing happened.

And for all of that I paid 100 pounds a night. Unacceptable.

One star is for the central location. Never again.

Does the job. Nice and clean room. Access to kitchen if you want to cook your own food etc. The only downsides are the faffy checking in procedure where you need to sign a document online and upload an image of your ID, and the fact it's next to a busy road, that could be noisy at night and early morning. The bed wasn't overly comfy, but again, it did the job.
