Rose Cottage, Cemaes Bay

What a lovely holiday cottage. Gorgeous garden lots of beautiful flowers and plants. The cottage is so well equipped everything you could possibly need! Really nice crockery bedding cushions and lots of nice little touches. Quirky cottage with lots of nice areas to relax in . Crafts are provided a lovely extra touch . Washer dryer available. Also there is a washing line and pegs if like me you want to put clothes out if the weather good. Cemaes Bay is great and minutes away are cafes shop pubs and chippy. We all had a great holiday thankyou to gillian for a welcome basket .The wine was lovely.

We have just enjoyed a week's stay here and it has been amazing. This is truly a little gem of a cottage in a such a gorgeous place. Rose Cottage has absolutely everything you need for a lovely holiday, the owners have thought of everything, even an Alexa in every room! The bed lining is so comfortable, the kitchen is beautiful and full of essentials and the garden is just stunning.

The walks around Cemaes take your breath away and the sunsets in the evening are spectacular. We will certainly be coming back here not only for the cottage and area but to a lovely warm welcome made by the owners and locals. You will not be disappointed.

Our stay at Rose Cottage was way beyond our expectations and as soon as we opened the front door of the cottage we felt completely at home. We couldn’t believe how many pots and pans, cutlery, utensils and glassware were in the kitchen and even a welcome pack with lovely chocolate biscuits and a bottle of wine.

We spent lots of time in the conservatory just looking out on to the beautiful and colourful private back garden and then delving in to the craft boxes.

The local area is stunning and it’s such a short walk to the beach and harbour. We watched the local fishing boat come in to the harbour and then sell all the days catch from the harbour wall.

The local cafés and restaurants served all locally sourced food and everyone was very friendly. The nearest café is just about 4 doors down from the cottage!

Gill has gone above and beyond to make Rose Cottage the perfect place for a holiday and when we contacted Gill with a couple of questions nothing was too much trouble.

My family and I spent a week at Rose Cottage from Saturday 16th July - 22nd July.

Gillian is a fantastic host and our whole experience of the holiday was just perfect! The cottage is beautiful, it has everything you need and more. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are super comfy. The living room area is an adequate size too, with a log burner for the colder months, although we certainly didn't need it. The spacious conservatory overlooks the pretty garden, where we enjoyed several BBQ's during our stay. We highly recommend the kebabs and burgers from the butchers in the village. The kitchen is well equipped if you do want to cook, but if you can't be bothered with cooking, then you should try the Bay View Restaurant which is about a 10 minute walk through the fields to the top of the hill which overlooks the bay. The food and views are fantastic.

At the back of the cottage is a woodland area where you can take a leisurely walk along the river, or down to the beach. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Anglesey, then Rose Cottage and Cemaes Bay will not disappoint you!

We spent a relaxing week staying in Rose Cottage in August 2022. On arrival we were treated to a welcome basket of goodies and enjoyed sipping the rose provided whilst looking out onto the pretty garden.
The cottage is spotless and beautifully decorated with everything needed for a relaxing stay. Comfortable beds and a good shower meant it was the perfect place to come home to after days out walking and sightseeing.

We stayed at Rose Cottage in August and it was definitely a home from home. Everything had been catered for. There was a lovely hamper waiting for us on arrival. The cottage was so cosy and very clean. There was a folder on the table telling us everything we needed to know about the cottage and Cemaes Bay. This included restaurants, cafes, benches, walks, pubs. It went into great detail and was extremely helpful. The cottage has the most amazing garden with lots of hidden treasures to find and the most amazing apple trees , perfect for making apple crumble. Sitting in the garden with a brew, first thing in the morning, listening to the birds was the perfect way to start the day. We had our son with us who is 5 years old, there were lots of art and craft boxes for children to explore, colouring books, pens, glue, shells. Bats and balls and crab lines and buckets for catching the crabs at the beach. The three bedrooms are beautifully decorated and make for a very restful sleep. The cottage is literally 5 mins walk to the beach. The high street had everything you need, including the most amazing fish and chip shop. And the pasties from the butchers were delicious. We wanted a nice relaxing week away and that is exactly what we got. We spent the days on the beach, had meals out at the pubs and went back to the cottage to relax. It really did feel like home. We will definitely be going back to rose cottage. I also recommend anyone to stay here. You won't be disappointed.

Had a fabulous time at Rose Cottage. It’s such a lovely place to stay , lots of wonderful attention to detail . The bedrooms are beautiful , bedding so luxurious . A beautiful garden to escape too. It’s location is brilliant , access to all amenities in the high street and then so close to the beautiful beach . Gill is so lovely too , nothing to much trouble .
