I have stayed at Crescent House a few times now. I am so pleased I found it.
Great rooms, fabulous breakfast, immaculately clean, quiet. The owner cannot do enough for you. How refreshing after those large impersonal hotels.

Only thing is it is non smoking. But as far as a good nights rest and your every need cared for accompanied by a homely breakfast you cant go better in Newport. Will definitely recommend.

Gorgeous old house, with a very welcoming owner operator, lovely breakfast will keep you going for the rest of the day. The mattress was perfect for a goods nights sleep.

Traditional and charming. This guest house is setup to please. From the moment you enter the huge Georgian hallway, the impressive decor sends all the correct signals every weary travellor needs. Our stay for a family of four was made all the more comfortable by our host and house keeping consistently going beyond our expectations. Our usual larger and expensive destination has just been gazumped! Highly recommended.

We have been staying at the Crescent Guest House for many years. The two ladies who were running the place during those years provided an excellent service in a warm and comfortable building. The owner, one of those ladies, was talking during our last visit of selling the business and retiring. We shall miss her and hope that the new owner can come close to her standards. We have always said to others that staying there was like staying with family or friends, it did not seem like a guest house at all. Even though dinner was not provided, the Handpost pub/hotel a short walk away filled the gap with excellent food and a friendly atmosphere. They were also very accommodating with my dietary requirements. There are other good restaurants nearbye too.

Very accommodating in a lovely clean, traditional guest house. In a very convenient position for travel - close to the train station with easy access to the motorway. Highly recommended.
