Greg Shute Guitar Tuition

My 12 year old son and I have been having lessons with Greg for 18 months now. I can’t believe how much we have improved.
Greg has a really inspiring way of teaching that builds confidence in us and encourages us to use the skills we have learnt but push ourselves to progress. We always leave our lesson with a new goal.
I can’t recommend him enough he is a brilliant teacher.

I’ve been having lessons with Greg for just over a year now, and can say he’s a lovely person who is really skilled in both playing and teaching guitar. Greg teaches from whatever starting point you may be at, keeping the lessons engaging and personal to your preferences, both in song choice and ability, while encouraging and teaching you to improve and grow your skill in playing your instrument. He keeps to a professional standard in his teaching and methods, however creates a very casual, no-pressure environment which allows you to learn at your own pace without being worried about judgement or performance if you are nervous about those aspects of learning the guitar as I was, this allowing me to ensure you that he understands these worries and his teaching reflects that through his encouragement and kindness towards your playing, whatever stage you may be at.

We've been benefitting from Greg's tuition for 8 years. Greg has exceptional skills in the way he delivers his lessons, the development of the student being at the core of everything he does. Whilst Greg holds all of the traditional techniques, he has the most current and modern mindset, which makes his lessons not only beneficial but also enjoyable.
During lockdown Greg's on line lessons are very well organised and well delivered, maintaining on going progress and development.

I've been with Greg for quite a few years now and I honestly couldn't ask for a better teacher! He's very patient, kind and is really amazing at explaining things in a way that makes sense. Cannot recommend him enough!

After many years of trying to learn to play Guitar and failing, a few years ago I started lessons with Greg. My goal was to learn some music theory and learn to play guitar to a standard where I could play with others in a band. I'm now doing just that thanks to Greg.
He has given me the tailored lessons I needed to teach me exactly what I wanted to know, he has given me encouragement and motivation all the way.

I have been having lessons for 3mths and highly recommend Greg! I started off with very little knowledge of the guitar… perhaps 2 chords from my junior school days… to having almost a stage set of songs, techniques and tunes that I absolutely love playing! Greg is patient, friendly and will go completely at your pace. I have absolutely “got the bug” for music… I hope you will too! My advice… try it! If you’re brushing up, or starting from scratch, give Greg a call and get yourself some lessons in the diary.
