We turn up this morning for our 9am appointment and surprised that he is not there. So we sit down and wait, there is clearly two new members of staff cutting hair, so I guess we were next. Bearing in mind that no one has even spoken or mentioned anything to us. 30 minutes later, the one barber asks if we have an appointment? And I responded yes we do and he clearly reads our names from the computer diary, he then turns to us and says "I'm sorry, we have double booked you."
So if you running a business and someone books an appointment, how difficult is it to see that there is another appointment booked in already? Worse of all, our regular barber was away for 6 weeks and neglected to tell us that he will be away for our next appointment.
Ultimately if you fancy sitting around waisting your time please use these guys because they are pathetic.
I feel as though they could have just a few improvements that would make them stand out a bit more.
It's always been annoying that there isn't a Answerphone service, Google doesn't tell you their opening hours (or not when I've looked) and calling them just rings and rings. Perhaps, leaving a standardised message for when it isn't open will be helpful. Perhaps even the option for clients to leave a message.
Huw recently went away and a new person started. It is immediately obvious he is either in training, about to qualify or qualified within weeks. He's taken a very long time to cut my son's hair and children aren't known for being able to sit still for long. Thankfully, my son is very good in these situations. Sadly, because no one else has been available to cut my son's hair this new guy was our only option. They weren't good cuts, in fact they were very uneven. Although I feel bad because be obviously cares and wants to do well but it's far far to early to be in charge of someone's hair and even a child's hair. Children's hair is very tricky!!!
I also was very miffed that we were charged the same as when we had Huw. Other hairdressers I have been to with different levels and experience charge different amounts. The cuts he did do weren't good enough and took too long...I would suggest clients are warned of the level of experience at the least and charge accordingly..
The room looks great, they obviously have put a great deal of care and as long as Huw and Elliot are there and my son's happy we will carry on taking him!
I believe the new guy, with time and patience will become a good hairdresser and barber. Eberyone deserves the chance afterall!
