to Cambridge I was suddenly desperate for a hair cut, not knowing where to go and wanting to book for the next morning. Very luckily being a quiet week in the year I got an appointment with the manager Eddie. He was incredibly friendly & chatty, and gave me a lovely shorter cut that was quite different to my previous style, and was very fast as I explained I needed to have my hair cut and get to work within the hour - which I did! Absolute life saver. They certainly have a popular presence on the street & have loyal staff & customers alike. So happy to have them just down the road. Also for the expertise of the staff, the prices are very reasonable, with the same cost whoever cuts your hair unlike many places.
Highly recommend, went here on the basis of seeing good reviews & not wanting to carry on paying above and beyond at chain hairdressers. Not disappointed, thanks again!

Update: I also heard that the girl mentioned in the negative review below no longer works at bamboo so you're guaranteed to be in safe hands

Just discovered this hairdressers and have now had two cuts from Eddie as well as some highlights. Very happy with his cuts and nice friendly atmosphere. Reasonable prices too. I will definitely be returning whenever I can. Definitely recommend. Had a few dodgy cuts recently elsewhere so very happy to have discovered Eddie!

An excellent place for Asian hair. My hairdresser, Jade Bunting, perfectly understood the assignment and was polite, attentive and just a joy to speak to. 100% recommended if you have thick and unruly Asian hair like me.

I really want to leave a positive feedback, however the result is not very promising. The hairdresser is very and probably over confident, but when I go back home and wash my hair, it is completely different.

Friendly place, reasonable priced. Had my hair died and it came out much darker than the sample colour I had selected, so take care with that service.

Eddie is a brilliant hairdresser. I've been going to him for years and my colour and cut is always top notch and my hair is happy and healthy. Highly recommended.
