My review is actually for Essense- the beauty salon above the hairdressers.
I've been coming here for about a year and a half now and couldn't recommend it highly enough. All the beauticians are lovely and friendly- I go in every 3 weeks to Jane for my finger nails and she always does a perfect job.

I came to the beauty salon essence as my friend had treated me after a difficult time for my birthday to a voucher for a treatment. I booked over the phone and explained I had a voucher and I had not visited the salon before. 5 minutes into my massage I was told I would have to pay more as my voucher would be for a treatment with the apprentice. After the treatment i went to pay and was charged £45.00, making the overall treatment £65.00. I am disgusted this was not explained to me on the phone. I would not have chosen to pay that amount (there are offers all over the walls for £35.00 for an hour). I couldn't tell my friend who bought me the voucher as she would be mortified as she thought she was treating me.I have paid less at Hoar Cross Hall, why would anyone pay £65.00 in a Ripley High Street.But mostly I am very annoyed this was not explained in the initial call and also after the massage had started making me a sitting duck..I have now spent hard earned money I had saved for the Half term holiday to spend on my children. Very upset.

I'm a bit sceptical when it comes to hairdressers as I've had a few mishaps with them in the past so took to cutting my own hair. Plus i suffer with terrible anxiety so find it hard to go anywhere alone made eve worse qith the resection in place at present. However after looking around and reading reviews I decided to give K H a go. No need to worry as from the moment I arrived I felt really comfortable the staff member welcomed me and made me feel at ease. (Sorry can't remember her name)If you're worried about covid then you'll be fine here as very safe. I had a cut and blowdry. Im really pleased with the result. Thankyou!!

Friendly and efficient staff, Dion did a great job and very friendly. Would definitely recommend. Fair price aswell.

Really great professional hairdressers . Reasonably priced and you get a fabulous hair style as you wanted it. Would highly recommend 😊
