Disgusting service and no care for their clients.
I tried this salon to have my faded chocolate brown hair highlighted blonde. (I was blonde for many years previously) so I know to go blonde is achievable.
I saw Alison, she took a snipping of my hair to test, a week later I had a full head of highlights done. I was a little concerned that when I pulled my hair back it was quite orange in places and was not even from root to end.
I left it and thought it would look better as I was told on the second go. Second appointment I had half head (as advised by Alison).
My roots were extremely blonde (root regrowth) and the rest of my hair was orange. You couldn’t tell in the salon exactly how bad it really was because of their lighting. Imagine friends telling you they didn’t know I coloured my hair myself and “poor me!” “Why have you got bleach blonde roots and orange hair?”
I had paid out a lot for these two colour applications, not knowing this (colourist) obviously had no idea what she was doing or, thought it would be funny to ruin my hair.
I was born blonde and was always blonde, maintained by blonde highlights. I went dark (stupid mistake) but now I’m having to deal with mismatch, two tone hair that a 10 year old could of done.
I have been to another well known salon and as soon as I walked in and took my hair out of my scrapped back bun her first words were “oh my god!” How do you think that made me feel?
Feeling bad enough my hair looked a joke, she told me whoever did my colour had no idea and any colourist or qualified colourist would know how to highlight a customers hair without the two tone and orange effect. Putting bleach blonde onto chocolate brown hair which has red tones means “Red + Yellow = Orange” this should of been toned with Ash/golden blonde mix toner at the time to counteract the orange tones.
I rung the salon and spoke with Alison after leaving a message I was NOT happy. What was the outcome? Oh, she would put a toner on my hair, any colour from the chart to basically hide the mistake she made with the “balls up” highlights.
I declined her offer as I would not feel comfortable with her putting any form of colour on my hair again. Hey, she might turn me purple next time. Once bitten and all that 😡
On first and second application of bleach highlights it is perfectly achievable to have blonde hair from root to ends without orange hair, if you know what you are doing.
Avoid this hairdressers, they are a joke! Even the (haircut) she only trimmed the back. Her words were “if I trim the front too, it won’t look right” 😂
Won’t look right!!!!!!! How about the bloody colour?????????? 😡😡😡
Hindsight is a great thing, if I could turn the clocks back I’d keep walking past this salon. Any one wanting a colour or blonde highlights, please seek another salon.
Unless you are going for the orange look or fancy having your hair ruined then this is the salon for you.
