Wonderful salon experience at No 5, I had an everlasting blow dry which has transformed my hair. Lovely staff and I was made to feel very special. Thanks to everyone at No 5 on the square. Have recommended it to many friends already x

I had a haircut and blow dry today. Was my first time to a hairdresser in uk and was totally amazing. Staff super nice and welcoming and I have no words to explain how Sammy works. She is just so nice and understanding and make the all experience a nice treat 💜

Incredible hair by Rachel the salon director. Full head foils which were the best I have ever seen and her colour understanding is astounding. Love this salon from the wonderful reception staff today who remembered my name from only one visit prior, ambience and perfectly created hair colouring

Bad experience - had my hair cut with a qualified stylist which turned out very poor. It was curled after cutting so it was not obvious right away. After seeking advice from another salon, I returned to SH to ask for a refund and a re-cut, which to their credit they did (though I had to ring up twice). The re-cut wasn't amazing and of course I had to have a lot more hair cut off that I initially wanted to fix the issue. The new stylist for my re-cut was 15 minutes late and really downplayed how bad the initial cut was. No apology was given for the first terrible cut. A simple, "I'm sorry this happened to you" would've gone a long way.

I moved to the area a year ago (after living in Dorset for 30 years where I had hairdressers who I trusted 100%) and thought it would take me years to find someone who understood me, my hair and what I wanted. I watched the short videos 5 on the Square have of all their staff and picked Kerrie. I rang to make my first appointment but you can also book online if you know who and what you want.

From the first moment of walking through the door you are looked after and made to feel valued and special by everyone you interact with. The waiting area is a very nice room with armchairs and side tables for the drinks they offer while you wait.

After discussing what I thought I wanted and showing Kerrie some photos (which I was happy to know she thought would suit me) I left my hair in her hands and she did not let me down. The best hair I have had for years! She got the colour spot on and the cut is amazing! I have found my new hairdresser!!

Sammy had a consultation with me the day before my (last minute) wedding to discuss how I wanted my hair to look on my big day, as well as my brides maid's - And she sounded totally confident in being able to achieve what I wanted. The following morning, she got to work on our hair updo's and honestly - She's an apprentice at the moment, but you wouldn't know it. My hair was the best it's ever looked. Also, she's soooo friendly - Easy to talk to, and just came across as a really nice person. She's a credit to Stuart Holmes.

I also had waxing treatments with Sarah, who took her time and made sure my stubborn hair was perfect (and removed) before the day! Again, she was easy to talk to, very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable and at ease!

Great staff great service from experienced hairdressers that always have expert tips on how to look after your hair, and make you look and feel beautiful. It doesn't matter what your hair type is they always have a perfect solution. I also love how they make you feel special with the special drinks menu, lovely coffee and teas, and the odd bucks fizz. Cant wait to go back to sort out my lockdown tresses that are in dire need of taming. Thanks everyone 😊

Visited this salon for the first time today and left a very happy lady! Sammy sorted me a beautifully done cut and blow dry and the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. Felt safe in their hands! Will be returning for sure, thank you guys!
