I don't often walk away from the hair dressers feeling like my hair reflects what I wanted, but half the charge here is for the good people who respect the service of ensuring you leave smiling. Was recommend Mike by a professional but he was understandably busy, however Chelsea seemed equally skilled with the scissors aswell a lovely one to natter with.

Seems pleasant group. Hopefully can sort my hair colour....

I've tried this hairdresser again and am more pleased than the 1st visit. A senior stylist explained in detail why my hair won't pick up on silver root tones.

I a nice cut. Not exactly what i asked for, but it looks better. Maybe slightly over priced at £71 but it was re style not just a cut.

Reduced my star rating. I used the website for this hairdresser on Saturday morning to book an appt for Monday. 0 communication. The next Wednesday the receptionist called me to tell me that the appointment for the previous Monday had gone !! Did I want to make another appointment. She was not responsible for checking bookings via the website. How strange working this be part of her duties? Odd

Both my mother and myself used this hairdresser in the past but would not go back.

Very expensive, poor styling and they drenched my mother who is elderly with co-morbidity conditions and reduced her to tears.

They refused to admit wrong doing. We did go back but with covid 19 I now dye my own hair and my mother's we do a far better job of it and cut each others hair.

Once covid ends I will be going elsewhere. Don't recommend.

Not worth the money. Not that good. Certainly not professional.

Took my sister here for her birthday as she's a long time customer, she had a pedicure and I had a french manicure. Both done by Nour- we were very happy with the service. Overall the salon feels professional and premium. Nour was very welcoming and friendly, we felt very comfortable with her and she did a great job. We both love our nails. Would recommend both Blakes and Nour.

First time I went there for a gent's cut, I was asked why I'd chosen a salon over a barber. Second time, a different stylist, asked why don't I consider a buzz all over instead..... I got the point and have now gone elsewhere

I can’t rate this salon highly enough. i had a disastrous colour at another Canterbury salon, where I went from blonde to mud/khaki (obviously not what I’d asked for!). The same day, I called Blakes in distress and explained; the super friendly receptionist got me in immediately (within 15 minutes), where I had a consultation with Mike, who took hair strands to test for colour removal. He also gave me a temporary toning rinse, free of charge, before I could come back for a full colour correction in two days after a skin test. I had a 5 hour appointment today with amazing Annie, who stripped out all of the hideous previous colour and restored my blonde - it is what I wanted originally, and more. Thank you, thank you, thank you Annie and Mike - I am so happy with my hair and will never go anywhere else for colour ever again! The service at Blakes is exceptional.

I had the best and most professional service here. Grace was absolutely amazing and really friendly and welcoming. She completely transformed my hair, I left with it feeling 100x healthier, shinier and all round just better. I have had so many compliments since getting my hair done, really recommend getting a balayage done by Grace at Blakes!

I would like to write a review on a lovely called Nour who did myself and my mums lashes and brows for us before a wedding coming up! She did an amazing job on both of us and I’m so pleased with the results! I recommend her for anyone getting lashes and brows done! She’s so friendly and sweet! Lots of love! Xx
