Warning: don't bother going here if you have curly hair! I asked for a wet cut and the stylist said they wouldn't do a haircut without blow-drying my hair straight afterwards to "check the cut is straight". They clearly had no idea how to properly manage curly haired clients as blow-drying it straight is the last thing you would want! This place was not professional and I was very disappointed.

I have been going to this salon for more than 10 years because it was cheap. I agree that the staff is not smiley and could be more welcoming and polite. The colour only lasts three weeks at most. They told me a few weeks ago that the blow dry is compulsory now which makes the price too high and I never dry my hair so I will be going to another salon after more than 10 years. I have found an excellent replacement salon after all these years with very lovely staff and excellent value for money. Stay away from this place!

Best hairdressers

I absolutely love this salon, everyone is so nice and friendly. I’ve had so much work to my hair with them, recently had hair extensions and I’m in love they look absolutely amazing. I highly recommend… the prices are amazing for what you get as well. You leave looking and feeling amazing

Hi,
I visited the Cambridge salon to get purple brown highlights. The stylist showed me the shades and told she would do the same for my hair. After the service, I couldnt see the colour well, she told if I go out, I can see it better. After I had a hairwash, all the colour got washed away and my hair was red instead of purple brown. They probably are using cheap products, reason why the colour doesnt stay for long. When I went to check with her again, she told that was the colour I asked her to put for me. Cheating customers in open daylight. I was charged 145 pounds for nothing. The stylist was very sweet and kind on the day she coloured my hair but when I went to ask her about the wrong shade, she did not even have the courtesy to apologise. She was very rude. A sincere request to people who would want to go here, please do not get cheated by these people.

Last time I was rather shocked at the big price increase and the fact that I had to have a blow dry. This time I discovered that what you need for curly hair is a diffuser, so now I know!
The staff are always welcoming and I am glad I went back.

Even though the customer service is awful and staff is outright rude, I have been a customer here for years as they offered a quick cut-only hair cut for a good price, and did the job alright. They have now changed their policy to blow-dry cuts only, which has tripled the price. Given the price increase, I would expect friendly staff to come with it, which it does not. I have decided to go somewhere else, where I get the same price plus friendly staff.

Really lovely people!
We dropped in spontaneously before a wedding with no appointment and they did an amazing job of both mine and my wife's hair.
Ask about the parrot, fascinating!

I have just had another great experience at Cellys.
Yvonna and Evelina attended to me today. they always take so much care. I have seen other staff there and have been happy every time I go. They really did a professional job. I'm also impressed by the value for money...... and would recommend it to anyone.
