A trio of connoisseurs* of South Asian cuisine descended upon Kings Cross on a fine Spring evening in 2022, in search of Q.
I say they were in search of Q, but really two of them hadn't been told where they're going and the third had organised the evening. So, despite one member having dressed like he was ready to find some ancient ruins, this wasn't exactly a new installment in the Indiana Jones saga.

Q's Kitchen can only be described as a reverse Trojan Horse. Let me explain:
1) It doesn't look like some lavish gift
2) You go into it, rather than the other way around
3) The surprise is a good one (you have a nice Pakistani meal instead of getting murdered by a bunch of Greek fellas)

If you're not paying attention, Q's resembles a regular London chicken shop, but look to the left wall and you'll see a regular menu of Pakistani classics - chana curry, haleem, biryani, and more... look to the right and there's a chalk board of specials.

We obviously started with a round of 6 spicy chicken wings though. Supremely greasy, a little kick of chilli, and with just enough crunch in the coating to make them satisfying.

We followed up with a chana curry with rice, haleem, paya, aloo paratha, and a couple of naan. As you can see in the attached photo (slightly edited to fix lighting), our former chairman was particularly excited by this feast, and his enthusiasm for the food remained as such throughout.

We definitely over ordered, and yet the bill (with 3 soft drinks) came in under £35.

In the words of Fatboy Slim:
"We've come a long long way together,
Through the bad times and the good,
I have to celebrate Q, baby,
I have to praise Q like I should"

*there were definitely three of us, whether or not we are connoisseurs is less certain.

Did not disappoint at all ! Chicken tikka was cooked to perfection. Personally I would recommend to add sweet chilli sauce as an option which I didn’t find. They have spicy sauce which was very nice. Thankyou Q’ s kitchen

Honestly, this place is SO GOOD. As a Bengali, I can say the daal was 10/10 and the chicken biryani was 9/10! I’m also unwell, but the flavours?? SO GOOD. They also gave me salad & mint sauce! Delivery was quick, food was hot and packed securely. I would definitely recommend their Indian cuisine!!

The chicken curry is good, spicy though. Not sure if these are normal London prices, but this plate costing £9 is too much. I would give it 5 stars if it was £7.

Regular customer since 2008, their fried chickens are fresh & testy but meat stuff( like biriyani, lamb &chicken curry) almost every curry & daal are precooked and kept in fridge then they reheat in microwave and serve it, several time found stale meat,
customer service is great apart from an old Pakistani guy named "MR SHOFIQUE" (Not chef ) who will ask you every single details of your personal thing once he get chance of speaking!
Overall great chicken shop only for fried chicken.
