The Old Cheese Market

I do not think there is any food sold here that is not good. All produce is chosen carefully. If you are not sure what suits you taste buds, talk to someone and describe what you want from your cheese, your ham, your bread and they will suggest the right ones from their lovely selection. Very nice people, with good humour and knowledge of the area.

After visiting the castle, I paid a visit to the old cheese market shop. I was very impressed with the range of the local produce. The flapjacks where delicious 👍. Good value for quality for the products.

Had one of their quiches for lunch. This place is foodies heaven, everything they make is the absolute best!

Lovely little shop with an excellent range of Welsh products - and more types of honey than I’ve ever seen in my life before. I was happy to see they were selling my favourite Snowdonia Cheese Com Company cheese. Friendly staff.

Wow! Proper Homemade Welsh Pasties..pastry was crispy and light and the beef filling was just perfect..Twelve out of ten for sure. The owner also makes traditional Southern African Melk Terts and ours was super DELICIOUS!! Definitely recommend and am thinking we'll be back tomorrow for another pasty. - or two!! Do not miss out...

Popped into this shop whilst visiting Harlech Castle on Tuesday 14/06/22 for cheese and a bottle of for a present. The lady in the shop was extremely helpful and recommended a lovely local Brie type cheese it was excellent. Her husband was great with the wine, he only purchases wines that he rates 80 out of 100 determined by his own consumption. He recommended a French red Entrecôte, which our neighbours loved and a white Petit Chablis, which we had with the cheese…..the Chablis was excellent with no sharp aftertaste. Awesome place, lovely staff, place itself very welcoming…….we really recommend people visiting this Welsh coastline pay them a visit.

Visited the The Old Cheese Market today after a visit to the castle. Popped in for some wine and cheese. Was recommended a beautiful Red which didn't disappoint, very reasonable prices too ! Would highly recommend. Astrale was the wine.
