Putney Hardware

Used to have a helpful older chap here but now there's a rather rude and somewhat hostile middle-aged guy here. The shop itself is very well stocked for all your DIY needs and the quality of products ranges from low to high.

Just giving some balance to previous reviews, I have been in several times in the last few weeks seeking some pretty obscure items and they always have what I have been looking for and have been very friendly and happy to advise

Recommend this great selection of flowers and plants for small gardens and pots. I do not have a green thumb, but geraniums have beautiful flowers all season. Also recommend for Christmas trees. Great shaped trees and almost no needle drop

Best value Christmas trees in Putney. Excellent quality and considerably cheaper than the pop up by the leisure centre. House currently smells beautifully of Norwegian pine.

This is the place to go to obtain a sought after item of hardware or to view a large selection of plants, including some exotic species. The owner has a friendly manner and takes pride in giving good service and providing what you want.

In front of the hardware shop and the sister shop next door is a vast array of colourful plants and shrubs.

Owner was extremely rude over my card payment for £4, telling me that my signature didn't match, despite my ID matching the name on my card. In addition, he was not particularly helpful in determining what I needed. I'd recommend other stores before going here.

Having used this store a few times of late after moving nearby, and just like some of the other comments on here - I find the gentleman that runs this shop incredibly rude. I was pretty much shooed out of the store recently and accused of losing him customers as I was apparently taking up too much of his time. There was a real reluctance to help too and I was overcharged (classic rounding up tactics!). It’s a real shame as I like to give local businesses a chance but his attitude has meant he has lost customers - me! Back to Homebase I go......

Moved next door 288 to a larger shop space, still excellent selection of hardware and wider range of plants and pots.
